Charlie is straight up the heart and soul of southern rock! Charlie established the vol concert and tours regularly to support our troops that are away from their families. Families are the biggest thing in Charlie heart & he lends his name to raise funds often. You only see this now from other that only come out when publicly is offered.

Sadly, Charlie will never get in because of his politics (see Ted Nugent). The Nom Com is too liberal to induct conservatives with some exceptions like Johnny Ramone.

Ted maybe avoidable and not easy to listen for us, but atleast he influenced numerous names. It’s pretty much the same how I feel about Charlie, and I don’t think the Hall always care about quality business wise.

If both of them are to get in at some point, you’ll be expecting a lot of negative reactions from the left, especially how impactful the internet has gotten.

He's in the Country Music HOF, and that's good enough for me. Hell, the only people that deserve double induction into both the CHOF and the RRHOF are Willie Nelson and Patsy Cline, as well as a few others.

CDB was really a Southern Rock band in the 70's. It wasn't until the 80' and 90's that he began to lean more country. Partially due to the fading glory of southern rock. And even throughout these decades he continued to produce some great rock albums. Powder keg, Tailgate party,Blues Hat and Road Dogs for example plus more. But as far as him deserving to be in the Rock HOF, I believe it's a no brainer. He was at one time considered the god father of southern rock and has been a mentor to many of the southern rock artists. Today however he is primarily known as a country artist because he has contributed so much to country music as well and not to mention that much of todays generation considers most southern rock, even Skynyrd and the Allman Brothers to be country. So sadly enough I don't think Charlie will ever get this honor. But the true music fans will always know.

Charlie Daniels should definitely be inducted. He was an excellent musician. I'm really surprised to see these others, that didn't contribute much to music inducted. His career spanned for 50 years. Birmingham Blues, Saddletramp, Caballo Diablo, Still in Saigon, and many more than just "DWDTG". Volunteer Jams… Go discover more than the 2 songs listed. I plan to make his induction happen.

If Rap groups and Soul group and Individuals can be put into the Rock and Roll hall of Fame then why not the CDB? Many of the inductors if seen? I have Never heard their songs on any Rock and Roll stations or Clasical Rock and Roll Stations.
