Fela is way too big for the Hall of Fame. I am stunned that so many Nigerians are clamoring for his entry. Fela would not give a hoot about the Hall of Fame were he still here in the flesh. Fela is peerless and stands alone as a music icon, and it's disrespectful to "nominate him" to the Hall. Westerners are suffering from a misguided superiority complex and Africans are plagued by colonial mentality. Both are ignorant in this regard. Keep Fela out of your useless Hall of Fame!

At this point, the Rock Hall should just induct Fela Kuti as "Musical Excellence." If LL Cool J and Judas Priest couldn't make it in the usual way, I don't see how Fela stands a chance.
