| A few days ago, Rick Vendl II mentioned in his post that he was sad that the great songs he listed for this month's genre vote won't be inducted onto the Important Songs List by the Song Project's end. I myself am hoping against hope that the Song Project's retirement is somehow only temporary, but other than that, I won't say anymore. However...here's what I propose: Before the Song Project closes its' doors, we should be allowed to pick 9-13 songs we want from the Song Snub List to be inducted into the Important Songs List. No fewer than 9, no more than 13. I realize this would have to be approved by the higher-ups, but that's simply my idea. Feel free to take it for what it's worth. P.S. Is Handsome Johnny by Richie Havens on the Song Snub List? | |

| My Genre Nominations are from Little Shop of Horrors (1986), Highlander (1986), and Spiderman: Turn Off the Dark (2011) My 2 favorite versions of Rise Above 1 were the one performed on American Idol with Carney, Bono, and the Edge and Carney singing the whole song alone on CBS The Early Show from June 18, 2011. Also, Somewhere That's Green is Ellen Greene as Audrey I wish song in the part she also originated on stage. Finally, Queen's theme from Highlander is iconic and was also used for the later 90's TV show. | |
