Ry is the consummate professional. Everything he touches is worthy of any music lovers' interest. He is an ethnomusicologist who has done so much to expose me to very important music of other cultures.
Perhaps his immense diversity has been perceived as a deficit,but his exclusion is an embarrassment to the hall of fame.

Duane Allman , saw Ry play slide in LA in the 70's and that is The single reason why he played slide guitar. He took it back to Macon and history was being made ever since. Ry should be recognized as he is one of America's Historic contributors of American music. He is in the class of Leon Russell .

I am at an absolute loss as to why Ry Cooder is not in the r&r hall of fame. Mind you he doesn't need it. His legacy stands head and shoulders above any recognition the hall of fame can offer.

Just go through his discography on Spotify. Ryland is head a shoulders above 50 percent of present inductees . His music is steeped in culture and poetry. The rich variety of instruments , voices and percussion blows me away. His genres are rock ,folk, Hispanic, spiritual, and blues to name a few. He does them all with deep emotion and melody.
