Carole King was nominated immediately after she became eligible (1989 ceremony). Of course most of the first ballot inductees got nominated YEARS after they became eligible, which is more normal than not. But yeah, there you go! |

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame should operate in a similar manner regarding past inductees. |
