Beyonce is a strong singer and the performer of her generation. She has had so many iconic singles and has been such an inspiration to many other singers. I don't see how at least one of her or DC gets in. Jay Z however is another talentless story who is solely dependent on marketing. Posted by Eric on Wednesday, 04/3/2013 @ 17:37pm |
She's become a real phoney (oxymoron?) with lip-synching, overerotic performing, wearing exotic animal clothing, etc. Sorry, but she ceases to thrill me. Posted by Benny on Friday, 04/5/2013 @ 21:14pm |
Beyonce is fine for what she is. At the core she's a Janet Jackson wannabe. If/when Janet gets in we can continue the Beyonce conversation. Posted by Marissa on Saturday, 04/13/2013 @ 16:57pm |
So if Beyonce wasn't already on track for the Hall of Fame before, she absolutely guaranteed it with her new release. Posted by rockstar23 on Saturday, 12/14/2013 @ 06:26am |
Lol the fact that most people voted no for Beyonce to be inducted proves they vote with their hearts and not their brains. Just because it's the "Rock" Hall doesn't mean she won't be inducted, Aretha Franklin was very much R&B and soul and she's in. Posted by Logan on Monday, 11/2/2015 @ 19:07pm |
It appears so. Posted by |
So...she seems like a lock now. Probably a first year inductee? Posted by Jack Tor on Wednesday, 04/27/2016 @ 03:47am |
She's easily a lock. It's hard for pop stars to come by critical acclaim, cultural relevance, and commercial success for such a long time, and she has all that in spades. First year inductee if I've ever seen one. Posted by Jet on Wednesday, 07/27/2016 @ 16:22pm |
The biggest female pop star lock since Madonna imo. She ticks all the boxes and will probably continue checking them and then some in the coming decade. Posted by Chanterz on Sunday, 04/21/2019 @ 20:02pm |
It kills me to see how old most of these comments are. In the past, I totally would have agreed with her not being inducted. It's 2020 now, and I see why it makes sense for her to be inducted into the hall of fame. This woman has constantly pushed herself and her craft to places that not a lot of artists dare to go. With a surprise album drop that consisted of music videos for every song, to using her musical platform to stand against the many injustices going on in the United States, her monumental comeback performance (Coachella) which helped gain popularity for Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU), and her raw talent to begin with, these are some of the many things that make her an easy lock! These comments are ANCIENT as well as the votes. Most of these comments are dated from the B'Day and I Am... Sasha Fierce eras of Beyoncé, where it could've been questionable. In 2020, that question mark should be replaced with an exclamation point. Rock Hall committee, this website needs a revamp ASAP. Because these statements are not truths anymore. Beyoncé rivals Michael Jackson in terms of popularity, cultural relevance, and outshines him in critical acclaim. She has the highest rated album on Metacritic of all time (AND it's a live album - no one is doing THAT) of 98%, and she consistently raises the bar for herself and the entire music industry. She is a first year inductee and nominee. Her popularity & commercial success has surpassed her peers. Posted by Josh Carter on Tuesday, 04/7/2020 @ 13:31pm |
The defining artist of her generation and thats undeniable. There aren't even words that can describe how powerful and brilliant this woman is in every song, album, appearance, performance she strikes gold and has truly made herself a legend. A first time nominee and and inductee for sure- the Hall is practically waiting to let Beyonce in and for once there will be or should not be ANY detractors because unlike any of her peers, she has shown that she AND her music have stood the test of time. Posted by ABJ on Wednesday, 06/17/2020 @ 16:55pm |
Holy shit. Looking at these old comments are crazy. I believe she will. She's Iconic and has constantly bettered herself with each release. She's also proven herself time and time again to be a great performer. Just say you don't like her and keep it pressing. Posted by Kat on Sunday, 11/15/2020 @ 08:46am |
She's a first time inductee. Her songs have stood the test of time and she's one of the best live performers and vocalists of our generation. Her music has that rock essence and she sings with passion. Posted by |
It is absolutely hilarious looking at the doubt in past comments! Posted by An on Tuesday, 02/9/2021 @ 12:56pm |
She is going to be a first-ballot hall of famer. Her husband Jay Z was first ballot hall of famer so will Beyonce Posted by Tyler Helt on Tuesday, 11/2/2021 @ 07:41am |
I wonder what the people who doubted Beyoncé and said that she wasn't innovative enough or even that she was over rated think about her now. She is the Goat. 28 Grammys Posted by Evian on Monday, 02/14/2022 @ 21:31pm |
she's a first-time inductee, period Posted by hey on Thursday, 10/20/2022 @ 00:05am |
You people are tone deaf. How can her music be that influential? Only one way. People don't know any better. Her music is nothing spectacular. And she couldn't even get to the Grammy Awards in time to accept the award she never should have won in the first place. No class. But admittedly that's what sells now. Classlessness. Couldn't let the comment above be the last word on Beyoncé. Not in the year of our Lord 2023! Not after the Renaissance album, tour and film! Not after 27 years of excellence, artistry, cultural relevance and social consciousness! I know Beyoncé will never see this, and I also know if she did she wouldn't care b/c she has nothing to prove. She told us that much. But I'll say it again for those who can't (or won't) acknowledge her brilliance. First year nominee and inductee, and I for one (of millions) cannot wait to see it! Posted by Elizabeth on Tuesday, 12/5/2023 @ 15:47pm |
She never stops topping herself. She was a first year nominee and inductee lock even waaay before Cowboy Carter. Posted by David on Sunday, 03/31/2024 @ 20:58pm |
I was alive during the reign of Queen Beyoncé. When she becomes a first year inductee in 2027, I just want to leave my mark on this living history. Beyoncé, if you're reading this, you are without a doubt the GREATEST OF ALL TIME. Never retire Posted by Millie Belizaire on Thursday, 04/3/2025 @ 01:27am |
It's rumored that her next project will be a rock album— how cool would it be for her to release that right before getting inducted? That's poetic Posted by Roy on Sunday, 05/11/2025 @ 20:30pm |
First let's be real, it's not the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame anymore it is just the musical Excellence and most popular artist Hall of Fame and she does deserve to be in that. Posted by Mike lance on Monday, 05/12/2025 @ 17:39pm |
There are few solo pop artists that have had the critical, commercial and artistic success of Beyoncé. There really isn't a word available to describe her. Trailblazer? Innovator? Professor?! I felt like she solidified her place when she gave the greatest live performance ever at Coachella (I was there WE2!)… but then she dropped both Renaissance and Cowboy Carter, and once we have Act3, it's pretty much a wrap. She's well-respected across the industry, idolized… and it's all earned and warranted. She's simply the Queen. And that's on PERIODT! ☺️ Posted by John F on Friday, 07/25/2025 @ 00:26am |
She's the most talented and influential artist of the last couple of decades. She has multiple classic albums and songs, and her talent and commitment to social justice themes in her music will reflect very well in the future, considering the tyranny America is currently under. She's a lock and totally deserves her future Hall of Famer status. Posted by Melanie on Tuesday, 10/7/2025 @ 18:36pm |
Objectively, Beyoncé is as groundbreaking as Michael Jackson was in the 80s. Her Rennaisance album alone is probably one of the greatest albums of all time, a truly cinematic and immersive listening experience. Posted by Rogert Houser on Saturday, 11/8/2025 @ 22:47pm |
It would make more sense if she was inducted in 2028 instead of 2027. 2028 would be 25 years out from her first album in 2003 and previous to the first album she only released one solo single. Posted by LB on Tuesday, 11/18/2025 @ 16:38pm |
She'll get in 2027 or 2028, but she is prob the most overhyped artist in the last 15 years years. Talented performer but she is her music is nothing special. Her work ethic and the industry will be make sure she gets in first try. Posted by justin page on Friday, 11/28/2025 @ 12:38pm |
She's one of the most impactful and talented artists of the last 30 years. She's the lockiest lock of the last decade. Should be inducted with no issues. Posted by Bryan on Saturday, 11/29/2025 @ 14:34pm |
Yeah. Beyonce is eligible in 2028. If you go to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, on Level 3 you can vote for who you believe should be inducted. You can't vote for Beyonce yet because it says her first album was 2003, so she is eligible in 2028. This is similar to Madonna where her first single was 1982 but the album was 1983. Madonna's first year of eligibility was 2008 & she got in on her first year of eligibility. Posted by Nathan on Wednesday, 01/21/2026 @ 14:22pm |
i really hope for diana ross and beyoncé will be nominees and inducted on class of 2027 next year. Posted by Coffeelovergirl on Thursday, 02/26/2026 @ 01:59am |
