My guess for old school rnb nominee in 2025 is Luther Vandross. Recently he has a resurgence in acclaim and I feel many people want to honour him now. His historical importance is appreciated more recently. He has lots of buzz in recent years. Also, after Dionne Warwick, I think Roberta Flack will be honored in that line. She is more acclaimed than Patti Labelle (She has Grammy Lifetime Achievement award but Patti does not). So I think she will be nominated soon. If not next year, I assume she will be nominated in 2027 when she will be 90 years old assuming she is still alive at that time, similar with Willie Nelson. What do you think? |

Power I think all are definitely more respected among musicians and critics but I think KC and the Sunshine band might be more liked among industry types and possibly better known with regards to depth of catalog. Again I don't think they're at the front of the line but I can see them jumping some acts. |
