I say Beyonce has a better chance of making it in rather than the group that made her famous. She's a star in her own right, and today it was announced she's headlining Coachella. And for those of us that remember last year (or don't want to, lol), she co-headlined the Super Bowl half-time show. As long as she's got Jay-Z by her side, it'll be no problem for her. Absolutely. That group had a ton of hits and was one of the hottest acts in the world. It's not a matter of will they,it's when. Posted by Ross A Heyward on Wednesday, 04/7/2021 @ 09:02am |
Curious about Destiny's Child. Their a popular but not overly important player of the early 2000s pop scene but I have a feeling the Hall higher ups might want to have Beyonce as a double inductee. Would not be shocked if they get a nomination prior to becoming eligible but don't think they'd go in before her. There's not much reason to put them in once she's in, as their often viewed as the predecessor to her solo career, aside from also getting Kelly Rowland, Michelle WIlliams, and LeToya Luckett in (all had pretty good solo careers especially Rowland) and making Beyonce a double. love them but they are so far from rock it would be insane to induct them Posted by kirsten on Wednesday, 04/6/2022 @ 13:14pm |

I would say yes to Beyonce but no to Destiny's Child. Posted by Henry on Thursday, 04/7/2022 @ 05:47am |
They definitely get nominated. I also feel like they'll get in off the strength of Beyoncé. It's just a matter of when and not if tbh. The one thing I am curious about is who the Hall will acknowledge, it would be highly disrespectful if they didn't acknowledge the original members Letoya Luckett (who's had amazing solo success) and Letavia Roberson. And the real question is will the acknowledge Farrah Franklin who really shouldn't be acknowledge due to her limited contribution but anything is possible. Rock and Roll? No way! If they get in it will make the Rock and Roll HOF a bigger farce than it already has become. Posted by Tim Olsen on Tuesday, 11/22/2022 @ 09:51am |

Since pretty much everyone is in agreement about Beyoncé being a FYE inductee. Does anyone else feel weird about her potentially going in as a soloist before DC does? If The Jacksons can get in before MJ does I don't see why DC can't as well. The music has aged exceptionally well and they helped popularized the sound of 21st century music with the "staccato rap-singing cadence" on TWOTW. Which *every* genre and musical act have directly or indirectly taken inspiration from ever since. Posted by Tommy on Saturday, 09/7/2024 @ 17:19pm |
