Yep, Herman's Hermits were a big deal back in the day. Peter Noone is an awesome entertainer. Just because they were more bubble gum than the Beatles. Posted by Myrna Mandjikov on Wednesday, 07/8/2015 @ 17:26pm |
Y'know, I'm gonna kinda agree with Jill. Herman's Hermits are very much like ABBA: ear candy that will never be regarded, but if you like absolutely nothing about or by them, then you are not human--you are the walking dead. There might be room for them in the Hall.... just that there are so many worthy acts ahead of them. Posted by Philip on Monday, 07/18/2016 @ 20:21pm |
With the Zombies now in, will Herman's Hermits be the next British Invasion act to join the ranks? Posted by The Dude on Saturday, 12/15/2018 @ 19:23pm |
The Monkees first! Posted by Roy on Saturday, 12/15/2018 @ 23:50pm |
How can you not remember a band that toured The us In the 60s and we re played constantly on the Airwaves throughout the mid 60s and their songs are now aired Across the world. Just saw the movie, "Mrs. Brown you've got a lovely daughter"; and I am stIll a fan. I saw them in 1966 on the Buddy Deane Show in Baltimore. Hall of Fame must induct This group. They remain an icon of the 60s, with an amazing catalogue, Comparable to sonny and Cher And even the mamas and the Papas. Peter Noone is well-known and his voice, famously remembered. Some band members are still alive and will do nice performances on the HOF annual show. Can't wait to see them! Posted by Louis on Thursday, 07/2/2020 @ 09:00am |
How can a band that had a string of hits in the 60s is not in the RRHOF? Posted by Rob on Tuesday, 05/10/2022 @ 18:20pm |
I can not figure out why Peter Noone from Herman Hermitts is not in the Rock and roll hall of fame, im 75 years old, when i was in Vietnam when one of his songs came on it cheered me up so much, I really beleave his songs saved my life, it just cheered me up so much, it was like somebody give me a pill. and give me a reason to hang on Posted by Kenneth Bieke on Sunday, 10/16/2022 @ 16:46pm |

No doubt HH should be in. In 1967 The Who opened for HH. Peter Noone is still a dynamic performer who tours regularly. Posted by Dean Christakis on Sunday, 07/16/2023 @ 16:03pm |
If any Rock & Roll has been a part of my life it is, Peter Noone, and his group of Hermans Hermits. His group has been a part of my life, as well as my friends, and my family. We sing his tunes at the top of are lungs even today. He belongs in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Not just for his fame but, for giving myself and you, the best rock & roll we listen to as a child, and even now. His deicaton to his fans family, and friends, and his group is undying. He travels far and near, and give Rock & Roll its best of his early years as well as now. Please, put this dedicated man where he belongs in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. His insperstion to others to sing Rock & Roll. There are stars in the Hall of fame of much less dedicatiin to Rock and Roll. Why Dolly Parton? When Peter has berb a Rocj & Roller before he was 18. Nevermind his list of pwrfornances on all list of on stage, and in screen. Posted by Donal d E Kelly on Thursday, 11/2/2023 @ 05:35am |

I loved/ love Peter's voice, because his accent was so strong and clear on his music. If you loved The British Beat in the 60's,you had to love this voice! Yes, The Beatles started everything in the USA and they were, are, will always be my #1, but Herman's Hermits were/are a very close #2 for me!
