Agree, it is a disgrace not to have included Jnr, other sax players get me yawning by comparison and to compare Kenny G on the same level, give me a break! Jnr Walker brought life and excitement into sax playing with soul and the Motown sound. It his influence along with Dozier and Holland that drew me to this instrument especially with the Baritone sax on Motown tracks.

Jnr Walker stands above them all, who ever they are, can not say I recognise anyone in the list or heard of them before and there is a reason for that......zzzzzzzzzzzzz!

My parents used to go see Junior Walker and the All Stars at the Howard Theater when I was a baby. I had heard of him but never knew who he was. This past Christmas of 2019, I was watching a Motown Infommercial and I saw a snipet of Junior Walker singing "What Does It Take." I was mesmerized. I went to the internet and u-tube to research him and I have become a huge fan. Although I am only 54 years old, I would have loved to see him perform live before he died in 1995. He definitely belongs in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. To get him inducted in the class of 2021 would be awesome seeing his 90th birthday is coming up in June 2021.

Just to see him in action with the tenor sax was incredible and to know not only did he play the sax, he sang and he was a song writer. Also, his band traveled the world to play music. I read somewhere on utube that at one of his UK performances, while playing his sax, he blew a light out. Now that is incredible!

Instead of complaining on blogs about why he is not in the hall of fame, I am going to write a letter to the Nominating Committee. If you are serious, please consider too.
