If Dennis Wilson is already in with The Beach Boys, why does he need to be in a second time?

Hi Roy! I am campaigning for Dennis based on his solo work, not his work with the Beach Boys. There are many artists who have been inducted solo after being inducted with their band. For example, all the members of the Beatles are inducted separately for their solo work, as is Eric Clapton, Lou Reed, Peter Gabriel, among others. There are other solo "asks" going on for other artists already in with bands such as Stevie Nicks, Sting and Ozzy.

If you haven't, I highly encourage you (and everyone!) to listen to his album, Pacific Ocean Blue, so that you can hear for yourself why many of us champion this album. It is incredibly avant-garde, highly critically acclaimed and considered a cult album. Major artists cite it as either an influence or simply one of their favorite albums of all time, including Brian May (who reportedly kept a cassette of it in his car constantly), Roger Taylor, Elvis Costello, Tom Petty and Taylor Hawkins. That's scratching the surface of the "why", but I do hope you'll take a listen to POB and dig into his solo work, it's really incredible! I also encourage you to check out Ken Sharp's book "Dreamer," which is an incredible resource about Pacific Ocean Blue and why it's so important!

Yes, I know, but realistically, they won't induct him for just one solo album. How much work did he do on other musicians albums?

Not only should he be inducted for his album pacific ocean blue album but his international timeless song you're so beautiful to me, used in commercials, movies, tv series, and one of the most romantic love ballots of all time, an instant classic. He was the original bad boy of rock 'n roll as the living initial of sex, drugs, rock 'n roll, lifestyle and he paid a heavy price for this, and the charlie manson episode of his life ruined his life forever, and this stained his legacy, while he was himself Charlie's main target... the bullet with his name on it. I feel as an artist that went through hell and then created a timeless pacific ocean blue, and one of the most iconic love songs of all time, definetely belongs in the hall of fame as a solo artists.
