Hall of Fame...what a joke. they should be ashamed to never have put harry nilsson in the hall of fame. winning grammys, writing top hits for other artists, doing a full length music cartoon, which schools still show to children. one of the greatest voices of the ROCK era.
Not to mention the Moody Blues. Rock of fame used to mean something. Im sure their staff is now of this newer generation whos music will be forgotten in a year. And rap is not rock. For us who grew up in the 60's 70's and even 80's our music lives still. shame on you Hall of Fame, you have lost respect for bad choices and judgement.

EVERYONE FROM ALEX TEBECK TO DORIS DAY HAS KNOW FOR A VERY LONG TIME THAT HE SHOULD BE IN THE HALL. SNUB HIM NO MORE, HIS BEST FRIENDS KNOW THE TRUE MAGIC THAT HE DID. Nilsson influenced the Beatles as much as they influenced him. Influenced many artists. Favorite artist of Imagine Dragons lead. Pioneered multi track recording. Won Stereo Review for it on Nilsson Sings Newman. TV, Film, movies and pop culture is still being influenced with the likes of Best Friend, One and The Puppy Song popping up on TV and film. How the hell did they overlook him?

I would like to know who is running this HOF. It's hard to believe some of the greatest rock & roll royalty that is left out every year. Let's start with my brother Harry Nilsson. The Beatles called Harry their favorite band. Not to mention all the hits he had and wrote for other artist. Some other artist are Carole King, Carly Simon, Little River Band, Grand Funk Railroad, Johnny RIvers, The Grassroots, Three Dog Night, The Monkees, & The Guess Who. Come on guys, wake up and get with it.

Nilsson obviously has credentials to be in the RRHOF, as demonstrated by his brilliant and timeless musical excellence. His brilliant music is the soundtrack of so many musicians and rock fans lives. We will remember him and his music, while the RRHOF inducts artists that were influenced by him...and others that "create beats" and use synthesizers...and pass that off as "music."

Harry Nilsson is a songwriting genius. His lyrics are so special, they tell of a journey through life with each song he wrote. Not many people can't talk about emotionally honest experiences, let alone write about them for the world to see and feel. You know that takes a lot out of an artist to show the world who they are, knowing there can be judgements, and joy, acceptance and rejection, yet Harry continually put himself out there for all the world to see. He challenges us to look at our world with honestly and hopefully live a little better because of it. Listen to 'Without Her" and you'll get it.

Harry Nilsson should be noted and remembered as one of the best singers and songwriters of all time!! I can't believe he's not in the rock n roll hall of fame! The Beatles called Harry their favorite American band. Ringo Starr was best man at his wedding. I keep waiting for his induction and every year I'm disappointed!

I am beyond angry. Harry Nilsson is one of the greatest male vocalists in the history of Rock. His pitch and tone were exquisite. His writing ability was second to none. Many of his songs are iconic. The RRHOF is doing Rock music a huge disservice. Many greats are in the HOF, but it is a HUGE MISTAKE to overlook the brilliance of Nilsson. If he was good enough for John Lennon, he is certainly worthy of the nod.
I am sure there is some politics or payola in here somewhere. That's the only way this injustice stands to reason. Or better yet, give me ONE good reason Harry Nilsson is NOT in the RRHOF.
