If they can induct garbage like NWA and Tupac, why not Cypress Hill? They practically kicked off West Coast Hip-Hop.

Shoulda posted this earlier, but I saw Cypress Hill at Riotfest in 2018. I was back on the handicapped platform, as I got there late & the crowd was packed in there like sardines.

Anyway, it was one of the best, if not the best, set I saw that weekend. The crowd was awesome, singing along to all the songs. When they did 'Insane in the Brain'...well, I wish y'all coulda been there.

Certainly have a case for the Hall. Would like them to throw out some more great music. Would help their case.

They are shoe-in for hip hop hall of fame. As for rock hall, there are 10-20 more influential hip hop artists and they should be inducted before Cypress Hill. So my guess is Cypress Hill will never be nominated let alone inducted

It's time!! Time to recognize Cypress Hill as a "rock-rap" cultural sensational band worthy of the hall.

They were the first major Latin hip-hop / Chicano rap act, and they have three platinum-selling hip-hop albums, definitely not bad.

They are big enough, at least on par with A Tribe Called Quest and Wu-Tang Clan. Their number of Spotify monthly listeners is also comparable to both groups.

They have earned critical acclaim, which makes them have good chance to be voted in by more general voters

Essentially standing out as both influential Latin and rap artists, they are a logical pick to follow in the footsteps of ATCQ and Wu-Tang Clan.

They are an undeniably prominent rap group boasting both widespread popularity and strong critical praise. Inducting them would also add another distinguished Latin act to the roster.

They deserve to be nominated (and inducted) in the near future.

I am unsure whether committee members have already given them serious consideration so far, yet after going over all these points, they are undoubtedly a top-tier 90s hip-hop (and latin) candidate right now.
