What about Dick Dale being inducted. He's had a bug influence on rock and roll. Posted by David on Sunday, 06/8/2014 @ 21:20pm |
It is mind boggling to me that year after year Eric Carmen, with or with out his group Raspberries, is overlooked! Eric grew up in Cleveland and along with his brother, wrote a song to promote Cleveland as the home of the Rock and Rock Hall of fame before a decision was made that it would be built in Cleveland. Eric has even performed at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame! Posted by wanda on Wednesday, 10/15/2014 @ 10:02am |
Bon jovi should be part of this class for the hall of fame since he defined two generations of music with hits like it's my life and living on a prayer Posted by Tyler keenan on Sunday, 10/26/2014 @ 22:50pm |

One group appears to be forgotten from your list. That being Foreigner. Posted by Jeffrey on Tuesday, 12/16/2014 @ 10:51am |
I was so elated to hear that the Smiths and NIN were nominated this year. Then so let down when the were not elected. Boooo. Posted by rocky on Saturday, 01/10/2015 @ 00:36am |
when are you going to induct the super R&B group " KOOL AND THE GANG"? tHEY HAVE SEVERAL #1 HITS, THEY JUST BECAME MOST SAMPLED ARTIST, AND HAVE BEEN TOURING FOR THE LAST FORTY PLUS YEARS. I THINK IT IS A CRIME ON THE PART OF THE hall of fame to keep them out\, give them their do before all the original members are gone. Posted by MICHAEL A. TOLLIVER on Friday, 03/13/2015 @ 22:13pm |

Why is Deep Purple not in the hall? Come on people. You'll let people that never played rock n' roll in the hall, but you exclude real pioneers who are responsible for countless hits and hooks. Smoke On The Water? Woman From Tokyo? Highway Star? Hush? Space Truckin'? Lazy? Burn? Do any of these ring a bell? Posted by Scott Mishoe on Friday, 04/10/2015 @ 22:30pm |

Now that Cory Wells died, maybe you'll correct the terrible wrong you've committed by not inducting this band! Posted by Cheryl Maggio on Monday, 10/26/2015 @ 13:51pm |
The hall is making a mistake by not inducting Yes. They are the leaders of the progressive rock bands. You have one hit wonders and disco. Where is the credibility behind this organization. Posted by John on Friday, 12/18/2015 @ 08:22am |
Wolfman Jack should of went in the Hall a long tome ago as a Non-Performer. I think they should Induct Ed Sullivan into the Hall ,he put Rock n Roll, Soul, and Country on TV in the 50s n 60s in prim time. And the entire Funk Brothers Band from Motown. In Early Influences: John Coltrane [Miles is already in]for Cool Jazz, Dizzy Gillespie, Charlie Parker for the Bebop, Count Basie for the Boogie and Mary Ford with Les Paul. Sir 2 of the greatest music groups of all time seem to be missing from your list. I can't believe that the Moody Blues are still not in the Hall of fame. Let alone not be on your list for nomination. The last Moody Blues concert I was at every song was a standing ovation. I can't understand it, please correct your errors. Posted by John Hultzman on Monday, 12/28/2015 @ 10:20am |
This page is for artists that just became eligible in 2016. The Moody Blues have been eligible for quite a while, so they would not be in this list. Posted by dmg on Monday, 12/28/2015 @ 10:44am |
moe. should not be on here. Their first record was in 1992. Posted by Anonymous on Tuesday, 12/29/2015 @ 20:29pm |
They had 3 independent cassette releases in 1991, according to Wiki. It doesn't have to be a wide release to count: Posted by dmg on Tuesday, 12/29/2015 @ 21:02pm |
Frankie Knuckles should have been eligible for a few years already (if electronic dance music is even being considered). His debut single, "You Can't Hide", came out in 1986. Posted by Zach D. on Saturday, 01/2/2016 @ 11:36am |
Everyone seems to agree that Pearl Jam and 2Pac are no brainers and most of the rest are questionable. Posted by John K. on Wednesday, 01/20/2016 @ 11:33am |
The Naples Herald, while recognizing that the Nominating Committee initially selects potential inductees, wonders why Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo appear to have been overlooked. They qualify, on RRHF criteria, and have generated music that practically defined a women's movement in 80's rock and roll. The Naples Herald...myself personally...would be very grateful for a response to this suggestion. Thank you for the great work that you do and for preserving the history of rock and roll! Must be Dave Matthews Band! They have a crazy following and have toured for 25 years straight!!!! Posted by Kim Summers on Friday, 03/11/2016 @ 17:16pm |

Iron Maiden should be inducted into the Rock N' Roll Hall of Fame. Ian Gillian of Deep Purple makes an excellent point about the hall, about them being rude. For example 2pac is now eligible to be put into the hall when he was JUST announced this year. Iron Maiden has released numerous albums, has MANY classic songs, The Trooper is VERY recognizable, and released one of the greatest heavy metal albums of all time "The Number of the Beast." Not to mention Iron Maiden is on a list that many heavy metal and classic rock bands have listed that they'd like to see put into the hall. James Hetfield of Metallica was one of those people at his induction ceremony that SAID he wanted to see Iron Maiden inducted into the hall. Posted by Seth Kiser on Wednesday, 07/20/2016 @ 17:38pm |
bonjovi must and should be inducted this year. Posted by Nanette on Thursday, 07/21/2016 @ 21:26pm |
Biggest Snubs page needs an update, pushing all of those artists on year forward and adding PJ Harvey who has now been snubbed for 1 year Posted by Casper on Wednesday, 12/21/2016 @ 15:54pm |
I am happy that yes got into the rock&roll hall of fame. Posted by danny kunkel on Monday, 12/4/2017 @ 14:17pm |
Why in the world hasn't Grand Funk been even considered for induction? So many lesser artist and bands have been inducted and I just don't get it at all. Why? Grand Funk deserves to be in not just nominated. Posted by Terry on Wednesday, 12/13/2017 @ 10:12am |
Well deserving band but hof is a joke band's like gfr iron butterfly and even bad company will never be there unfortunately Posted by Lawrence Wallace on Wednesday, 12/13/2017 @ 10:25am |
I feel groups like The Crew, the mokees, the Carpenters. Solo efferts from Phil Collins, Bryan Adams. Should be thought of a bit harder. Posted by Bill ott on Saturday, 11/2/2024 @ 08:51am |
