Your job is difficult, but you have ignored two great musicians Richard Thompson and Warren Zevon.
Thompson's consistency over 45 years places him in a very small group of musicians. His guitar playing is amazing as well Zevon was one of the most clever
and articulate lyricists ever.

Chic will continue to get nominated

Berry Gordy, Smokey Robinson, Warren "Pete" Moore and Claudette Rogers will continue to push for Motown's Mary Wells and the Marvelettes

The Monkees because Davy Jones died recently.

Jan and Dean have been name dropped for the past three years. First, by Elton John, during his induction speech for Leon Russell in 2011, then by Chris Rock, during his induction speech for the Red Hot Chili Peppers in 2012, and then by this year's inductee, Lou Adler. Lou Adler wants Jan and Dean inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Dean attended this year's ceremony, seated at the same table with Lou Adler.

Gram Parsons will get his fourth nomination.

The Meters, War, Kiss and Deep Purple will return on the ballot.

Of all the remaining big names in Prog: Yes, Procol Harum, King Crimson, Jethro Tull, The Moody Blues and Emerson, Lake and Palmer... Yes is most likely to get nominated next.

The Rock Hall needed to nominate and induct Freddie King and Albert King first, so they could nominate Stevie Ray Vaughan next. They even have a link to youtube on the Rock Hall website of Albert King performing with Stevie Ray Vaughan.

The question is how he will be nominated. Will it be just Stevie Ray Vaughan, or will it be Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble? Will Double Trouble go in separately as sidemen?

Nirvana is a shoe-in for 2014! Soundgarden could get nominated but not inducted this time around. Dave Grohl and Chris Cornell both were presenters this year.

N.W.A. will return to the ballot.

I can't make a prediction right now for the six inductees.

I have no faith yet that Chicago will be nominated soon. We'll have to wait and see if the Chicago Blackhawks win the Stanley Cup again this year first. They are the number one team in the league.

Phish has made it to 25! Actually their album was released in 1989. Junta was a low budget cassette that the band sold at concerts starting in May 1989. So I'm not sure if they are really eligible... but why carp?

By the way, I predict that Phish will be passed over by the Hall for at least a few years. The modern "jam band movement," which was basically started by Phish, will probably go the same route at the Progressives in the 70s. Not a lot of respect from critics. Measure the years of eligibility that Yes or King Crimson have, and probably Phish will receive the same number of eligible years.

Seriously, if you think anyone other than Nirvana is going to be nominated from this list, you're nuts. Nirvana's a lock. Fugazi, De La Soul, Massive Attack, Morrissey, Mudhoney . . . you're dreaming. They'll never get in, no less be nominated in their first year of eligibility. Have you been following this thing at all?
