Should they be in? Yes.
Will they be inducted? No.
Neither will Death, Bathory, Exodus, Mayhem, or Emperor,,
at least not anytime soon...
Eventually the narrow-minded induction comittee members will die off and hopefully be replaced with a more open-minded member(s)

Capital Y-E-S! Not only these dudes were part of the New Wave British Heavy Metal movement, they were the true inventors of black metal. Their music also helped shape the development of many thrash metal bands (Metallica, Slayer, etc).

But Judas Priest, the late Ronnie James Dio, Motörhead, and Iron Maiden needs to get in first.

Venom is one of the big four of black metal right up there with Merciful Fate Bathory and Celtic Frost. They definitely deserve to be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame along with these other three long liners, but unfortunately that might not always be the case, but I definitely think that they got a best shot of any hell their music helped create an entire new subgenre.
