Since Questlove is on the Nom Com, I wouldn’t be surprised if the Roots are one of this year’s nominees for the next class.

So I was wrong about The Roots being a first-ballot inductee. I'm wondering if their now-established image as the Tonight Show Band is making people forgot about their excellent albums. I have to believe they will be nominated within a few years.

im really suprised they havent been nominated or considered at all, not only are they popular important influential and acclaimed, but questlove is on the nom com! maybe after rage get in morello will be done and questlove can push for his own band
