I really hope Trevor Horn gets in at some point for his work as a producer. Both of The Buggles' albums, naturally, and then working with bands and artists such as Frankie Goes to Hollywood, Band Aid, Seal, Rod Stewart, and Genesis to name a few. Not even mentioning both members' time in Yes, of which neither Horn or Geoff Downes were inducted with.

One really influential song, and that is it

If they were pre-beatles act, they would probably be shoe in, because some 50s acts included basically on one influential song. However, they were act in album era, so zero chance for them.

"Video Killed The Radio Star" fits the definition of singles category best.
