With or without Harold Melvins and the Blue Notes, Teddy Pendergrass deserves induction!

It is a crime that Willie Nelson is going to the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame but Teddy Pendegrass is not! Pendegrass is one of the greatest singers of all time!!

Teddy Pendergrass,my a**.Great singer, but at 71,I'm EVEN HANDSOMER than Teddy Boy ever was, plus I don't sing like an oily lounge lizard. (He was kinda the Black Robert Palmer). Also,I wanted to be a rock band frontman because of my cover boy good looks (and try to play some guitar and drums),but I guess they wouldn't have known what to do with me in rock.
Plus,I didn't grow up in "the black church" (I'm a Roman Catholic),and the idea of singing to fat broads at R&B shows didn't appeal to me.Finally,I speak with a braying Canadian accent-I was born and have always dwelt in Windsor,Ont.,Can.,one mile SOUTH of the US-Canada border at Detroit,my mother's birthplace-NOT a stereotypically churchy cadence,so R&B,would have been my performance genre !!!!!!!!!!!

Should be included, huge rnb act in black audiences

First black rnb act to have four consecutive platinum albums in the United states

But afraid his window has passed, unless he has revival like Luther Vandross

Teddy Pendergrass made history as the first Black male artist to achieve five consecutive platinum-selling albums in the U.S.. His streak, running from his 1977 debut to 1981, established him as a premier solo R&B singer before his 1982 accident.
