Spandau Ballet have not only thrived in the 80s globally, but they have created one of the most romantic songs in the entire world (True). Everyone has heard of it and I'm pretty they've heard of their other hits like "Gold", "Through the Barricades" and "Only When You Leave". They've dominated the charts and their song, "True", is featured in almost every film and television show ever. If Duran Duran can be inducted, so can they. Basically one hit wonder in the USA - most people here only know "True." Hits don't always matter for the Rock Hall… unless you're a pop group, in which case…. hits are sort of the whole point? Posted by GregDean on Monday, 05/5/2025 @ 15:03pm |
