47 comments so far (post your own)Please let Scorpions in! I saw them in '79 and again in 2012 and they rocked just as hard! They have influenced many bands and have always delivered awesome Heavy Metal music. There isn't a song I don't like. They deserve it. They've worked hard for it. Thank you! And the sting continues...they have not stopped and here it is 2013. This band amazes as they are the ONLY band out of all of them since the 70s who have never stopped rawkin all these decades! They still tour, still cut studio albums, and still rawk as great as ever. Where is the respect this band so richly deserves over most? Let's get with it and give them the kudos they have worked for all these years. Posted by Cristy Rawks on Saturday, 12/28/2013 @ 19:05pm |
Now that KISS has been inducted, I would put Scorpions at the top of the list who should be inducted next. Posted by KING on Tuesday, 01/28/2014 @ 19:10pm |
Scorpions should be inducted soon. Incredible longevity & good music. When they started out Martin Luther King Jr,Robert Kennedy,Jimmy Hendrix & Jim Morrison all were still alive . Imagine that. Posted by KING on Friday, 02/21/2014 @ 03:11am |
Scorpions are heavy metal royalty. They would be perfect candidate for Veterans RRHOF Committee since they started in Mid 60's. Influenced many European heavy metal bands. Rock You Like A Hurricane an epic song lives on in 2014!!! Should have been inducted 5 years ago. KING Posted by KING on Sunday, 05/25/2014 @ 14:42pm |
Saw Scorps at 5 Season Center in Cedar Rapids Iowa when Bon Jovi warmed up for them. Crowd actually BOOOO'D Bon Jovi for really bad singing and the Scorps came on with a lot of anticipation and KILL'D IT! Vote YES for Scorps in the HOF!! Posted by jonas on Wednesday, 08/20/2014 @ 21:04pm |
The Scorpions, just like most huge heavy metal acts from the 80s will never make the RRHOF. My reasoning: Posted by fork80 on Thursday, 01/15/2015 @ 13:33pm |
The Scorpions are up there with the best bands of all time. Klaus still has an awesome voice. The Scorpions were true MONSTERS OF ROCK! They're still going while others are trying to catch up. The Scorpions should definitely be inducted! Posted by No one like us on Tuesday, 04/21/2015 @ 01:08am |
Scorpions should have been 1st ballot RRHOF. They are better than 70% of the bands elected and rocked harder than most. They should have been in with Rock You Like A Hurricane ,The Zoo, Wind Of Change and an array of great sounds and songs.Vocally Klaus blows away most competition with Heavenly range. The live concerts are outstanding and Jabs w orking the squawk box on The Zoo is masterful. There are no holes in The Scorpions RRHOF resume since they influenced many European metal bands that came later and had the longevity and critical success /acclaim needed to make RTRHOF. Deep and Dark excellent song later Scorpions. Just simply the best. KING Posted by KING on Friday, 05/15/2015 @ 18:21pm |

Scorpions should be in RRHOF. They are amazing live concerts and were musically excellent. Wind of Change show the depth of their talent as musicians starting as a softer song and building to a brilliant solo and heavier near the end. Other groups who should be inducted: Bryan Adams,Chicago, Def Leppard, Duran Duran, Grant Lee Buffalo,Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Moody Blues,The Cure. It's a shame that such an International ambassador of Rock & Roll music and good will is not in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. The Committee should be ashamed of themselves for not considering them and at least getting them on the ballot for voting by the public. Fans around the world would immediately vote them in. To the Committee - Get them on the ballot for 2016 already! Posted by Ron Knotts on Friday, 07/3/2015 @ 15:44pm |
On Scorpions: It's laughable that Scorpions have never been considered in 20 years of RRHOF eligibility. Rock You Like A Hurricane, Still Loving You, The Zoo, Wind Of Change, are Classic songs. Hopefully, now Deep Purple has been inducted recently....Scorpions will be on the 2017 ballot. Could or should be on the list of the 10 greatest metal bands of all time. My son and I were talking about the rock n roll hall of fame and who was and how a person would get inducted in. After looking into the process who's in who's not. WoW shocked to bands like cure , Iron Maiden , scorpions aren't in the rock n roll hall of fame. Really snoop dog over the scorpions . Unreal scorpions have been a large part of rock n roll for over forty years. With two of the great guitarists yes they are! One of the most distinctive voices in rock. Great live only seen them twice 1979 navy pier Chicago and Allstate arena in Rosemont ill. In my top ten concerts. I've been to over a 100 . It's time! I think the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame is a big joke. Just like when Jethro Tull won an award for Heavy Metal they don't know what they are doing? They should be ashamed to even call themselves The Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame. Scorpions are more Rock 'n' Roll than some of the bands that have already been inducted. I have been a Rock 'n' Roller all my life that's all I listen too. It's in my blood but this so called Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame is one place I really wouldn't care to visit even if someone would pay my way to go there. I feel it is run by stupid idiots who don't know Rock 'n' Roll. Come on really??? The Scorpions should be in there by now. Posted by Juergen Joseph Schmidt on Thursday, 12/14/2017 @ 09:25am |
This my list of inductees who are very likely to support Scorpions for an induction with the inclusion of members from certain bands. Just to give ya a fun fact about this them they originally started off as a prog-rock band. Posted by The Dude on Thursday, 05/31/2018 @ 09:59am |
The Ho F is beyond meaningless at this point, if most of these third-tier groups get considered/inducted... Posted by EDS on Thursday, 05/31/2018 @ 12:49pm |
Heck no. They're a second-tier generic hair metal band. We already have Bon Jovi and Journey for god's sake. Posted by Michael on Tuesday, 10/30/2018 @ 11:31am |
Y’know, it’s funny how there are FRL Regulars are saying no to Scorpions. If ya don’t want them in, then it means you don’t want Kraftwerk and other acts from Germany. Posted by The Dude on Tuesday, 10/30/2018 @ 12:07pm |

Could you give me some links to articles proclaming that Scorpions influenced Rammstein? Also, if I had to make a top 10 most influential hair metal bands list, they wouldn't be in the top 10. They would barely grace the top 50. Posted by Michael on Tuesday, 10/30/2018 @ 15:23pm |

Thanks for actually giving me proof and not being those people that say stuff and not prove it. I still consider them second-tier though, for a HEAVY METAL band. But there IS 1 band that's the worst out of all of them... Posted by Michael on Tuesday, 10/30/2018 @ 16:15pm |
They should be there, they are one of the biggest rock bands out there and after 50 years they are still rocking, I wonder how can we manage to get them there... Posted by Eva Velázquez on Saturday, 11/3/2018 @ 17:43pm |

Now that Bon Jovi and Def Lepperd both are in, for predominately their 80's Rock material, the next in line, IMO would seem to lead to a Scorpions nomination. With their commercial Rock hits of the 80's being most notable and popular, their best work was from a 10 year period from 1974 to 1985. Consisting of 8 very good to great albums, plus 2 great live albums(Tokyo Tapes-1979, World Wide-1985), their catalogue is extensive. And although they did not get bigger in America til '79-'80 with Lovedrive and Animal Magnetism, true rockers in the States were jamming on the Virgin Killer, In Trance, and Taken By Force albums in the 70's, with my introduction being with the excellent Fly To the Rainbow album. Just making a case on the Scorpions being worthy and overdue for nomination. Any doubts, check out some of their earlier overlooked songs, Speedy's Coming, They Need A Million, In Trance, The Sails of Charon, We'll Burn the Sky, Catch Your Train, Pictured Life, Life's Like A River, Is There Anybody There?, You Give Me All I Need, Top Of the Bill, Steamrock Fever, The Zoo, Holiday, and a great instrumental, Animal Magnetism, plus many more. @ the Dude, Thank you for the response. I get your logic on the Motley Crue deserved nomination. I think they are in a class by themselves. However, I don't think that the Crue not being in HOF would hurt the chances of a Scorpions nomination. My reasoning lies more in that Bon Jovi and Def Lepperd both had a lot of huge commercial rock hits, early to mid 80's, Scorpions and Motley Crue had quite a few also. Scorpions just have that extensive 70's catalogue that has to be recognized. Similar to Bad Company, who achieved their popularity with 5 solid Rock albums in the 70's, except the Scorps did not score any hits until early 80's. On Boston and Foreigner, I would group them together. Fantastic debut albums, Boston's is epic, 2nd album very good, the next 2 more average. Foreigner's next 4 records were very good, hard to consider them great. IMO, Judas Priest should already be inducted, kind of hit a snag, and may take a couple of years to be re-nominated. Iron Maiden could very well get a nomination for next year, but inducted IDK. If you are looking at commercial hits plus total catalogue, Styx might have one of the best resumes for nomination with their 70's and early 80's material, although their career took a bit of a nosedive when they broke up. As far as 70's and 80's Rock/Classic/Hard/Metal goes, any of these bands could get nominated, and I will throw in the Doobie Brothers to the mix also. @ the Dude, One other thing, I have noticed a lot of you guys base your predictions on statistical knowledge, voting probability factoring, and doing the math on certain artists would need to get inducted, for another artist to get the required votes necessary, and all that. Which is cool and informative, where I probably go mostly with hunch and a sort of instinctive probability. Like with Roxy Music, kind of had a feeling they would be a dark horse selection. 60 Reasons why the Scorpions should be nominated for the RRHOF and inducted in the next class, and ahead of all those that came after. These are listed as personal preference, and in descending order.. Posted by Will N. on Friday, 07/12/2019 @ 00:50am |

Scorpions are currently touring in Australia with 3 shows, and 1 in New Zealand, for February. And then 1 show each in Indonesia, Singapore, and Manila in Phillipines, before returning back to the States for their Las Vegas residency shows in July.. The "Scorpions" not in the Hall of Fame, again. I've seen most of the acts that have been inducted, give me a break, T Rex is better, cheap trick, I do t think so. I've been to Rock and Roll hall of fame 3 times, good thing I went to the Pro football hall first, they dont leave out individuals that belong. Scorpions are not in that shitty ceremony list? But Eminem is there, we'll he's so ROCK'N'ROLL then? Oh come on the rrhof doesn't deserve Scorpions Posted by Ehsan Farham on Tuesday, 05/10/2022 @ 22:07pm |
I like the song "Wind Of Change." That's the only Scorpions song I can think of other than "Rock You Like A Hurricane." Posted by Brian Schonour on Monday, 07/4/2022 @ 21:50pm |
The Scorpions should have been inducted many years ago. Incredible songs and longevity. They started back in the middle 1960's. Memorable songs like No One Like You, Rock You Like A Hurricane, Send Me An Angel, The Zoo, Wind Of Change, etc. Any song there could be the RRHOF ceremony finale. Things could work in Scorpions favor this cycle and in 2023-2024 and 2024-2025. Maybe, the RRHOF will not select Iron Maiden again and Motley Crue has supposedly been banned from the Hall. Judas Priest now has been inducted. They could just go with Soundgarden but Scorpions appear to be a bigger snub as years move along. I'm surprised they have never been nominated. Scorpions are too good and influential to be left out... There is a definite lack of worldly regard for bands outside english speaking countries... Way too political... Posted by Don on Friday, 09/16/2022 @ 15:13pm |
Just seen Scorpions in Fresno Ca, 10/07/22. They deserve it big time, this is a band that has gained different generation FANS! My Dad is in his late 60's, I'm 38 & my daughter is 16! We all rocked out at the concert, what other band out there right now can say the same! My daughter has been listening to them non stop & says she's so grateful to have seen these rock legends live. Again, WHAT other rock band currently out can say they will have different generations of fans? Hopefully 2022-2023 will be the Winds of Change for them cause I'm a Rock Believer! All HOFs are artificial contrivances. They all become political. The Scorpions should be more than satisfied that they are loved by millions and that in a few moments in time they positively impacted the world. If and when they get in the RRHOF they should graciously accept it and say, yeah thanks, whatever. Posted by Mark on Tuesday, 01/3/2023 @ 08:54am |

In the late 80's, the first Scorpions album I bought was World Wide live on audio cassette. Used to listen to that all the time and with friends on the way to the After the Gold Rush night club in Cottage Grove Minnesota. Then I bought the Savage Amusement album which was one of the best, followed by Crazy World, and Face the heat. Why crap like Eminem would get into the Rock Hall before these rock legends is a crying shame. Posted by Brian on Friday, 03/22/2024 @ 14:23pm |
