Robin Trower, IMO, is one of a handful of truly phenomenal guitarists in rock and blues history. Not only a master of technical precision, RT is gifted w the innate ability to create beautiful, spine-tingling phrasing straight from his soul. This is a devastating combination, and really, pretty rare in the music industry. There have been many great technicians, and many soulful players, but few w a true combination of both. If you've ever seen SRV Live at the El Mocambo u know what I mean. The guitar transforms from an musical instrument to an extension of the player'a soul. It's as if music just manifests from the heavens thru these incredible players. If you've never seen RT perform live, do yourself a favor and check him out. He still tours regularly, and if not quite as energetic as he was in the 70s, he's certainly more polished and could still be considered to be in his prime. The fact that he wasn't inducted into the Rock&Roll Hall of Fame the year he became eligible, shows that it's simply a popularity contest and not an indication of artistic ability...

Robin Trower deserves the rock HOF, but if you look at his career he has been slighted by the rock establishment on a regular basis. The slighting of Robin says more about the myopic prejudice of the rock establishment than about his talent. Shame on all. Robin is more than his famous early works, but is an ongoing sustained artist of unique genius. Whatever the reasons for his not being in the HOF his artistic ability isn't one of them.

It's a crime that Robin Trower isn't in the Rock & Roll hall of Fame, without question he belonged in 20 yrs ago. He'll show up and rock your socks off old school new school, you'll be guitar schooled for sure.

But the morons that head up the hall are out of touch I mean it took Deep Purple an eternity to get in so I can understand the distorted logic I wonder if Procol Harum is in ? Probably not shame the hall but keep putting people that have no business in there in get with it.

It is a travesty of epic proportions that one of the most soulful players ever to hold up the instrument is not already in, and his airplay on the radio when they still actually played Rock alone should warrant it, not to mention that many people, including myself consider a concert of his to be their personal Best Ever! It's also not only about the work he did back then, while he gets no coverage listen to some of the brilliance he has put on tape since, for example listen to the last half of the song 'The Turning' from a more recent album of his, the song starts out not that great, then he transforms it into some of the most beautiful guitar work ever recorded. And listen to the CD 'The Playful Heart' songs like 'In my Dream' and 'Into Dust' a couple times and see if it doesn't stand up to anything being produced now. Could list so much of his work, but go back and listen to his 1976 release of 'Robin Trower Live' which alone should have him in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame!

The fact that someone of such obvious ability as Robin Trower is not included, makes a mockery of the entire foundation. And the whole thing seems more like an "if your face fits your in" sort of club!

Robin Trower Is "The Main Man"! I've been following Him for (50yrs.) (1974 - 2024). He's been making Albums and Performing Live the whole time. Not like some of these so-called artist/bands that play a few years and live off of their old songs. Robin Trower not only deserves to be in the hall of fame...The hall of fame doesn't deserve Robin Trower. Just keep putting in weak commercialized artist. Robin Trower Is The Hall Of Fame!

Robin Trower is one of the all time great rock/blues guitarist. He has recorded 27 studio albums to include Bridge of Sighs which IMO is one of the best rock albums ever. Before that he recorded 5 albums with Procol Harum. Yes he has never had a number one hit record (which seems to be the standard to get in the HOF), but he has a legendary rock legacy none the less. He truly deserves to be in the Rock HOF.

I starting listening to Trower in 1976. Went to my 1rst Trower concert in 1978. Have seen him 3x so far and am going to see him again in June 2025. The fact he is not in the Hall of fame is an insult to him and to his fans. The White Stipes just got inducted. WTF?!
