Realised two things this week. Robbie Williams is in Melbourne to work on his movie biopic. Also this year he qualifies for the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame.

He has a great story of overcoming being in a crappy boyband. He also overcame addiction, eating issues and mental problems.
His solo career had stalled- he was about to be fired from his label which may have sent him to the gutter.
Then ANGELS was released. His whole career stems from that song.

The Knebworth concerts- three nights with 125000 people each night. I saw him in Melbourne with 65000 people. My wife is a little jealous of my love for Robbie Williams.

^ He's not famous enough in America for the Hall. The hall is pretty US centric, and Robbie just isn't a big enough star in the States.

Robbie Williams would be among top singers in USA, if he would be known more there. Collabration with Guy Chembers for me ain't worse pretty much than Elton John songs.

I feel like he really shouldn't be in the hall cause he's too U.K. specific. He isn't really well known in the U.S. I didn't even hear of him until I watched his biopic Better Man and researched further. Best if inductees are well known on both sides of the pond. The hall is based in Ohio, so obviously any artist should at least be widely known in the U.S.
