On Al Di Meola,
Most all lovers of music will know Al Di Meola as the young prodigy lead guitarist of the Jazz Rock Fusion band, Return to Forever, created by the great Chick Corea. Al was featured on 3 critically acclaimed records of RTF, including the excellent "Romantic Warrior", before embarking on a solo career, starting with "Land of the Midnight Sun" - 1976, to the present, Opus" - 2018. Totaling 25+ albums, including both studio and Live releases.

Al has always been a lover of World music, as his style ranges from Latin Jazz, Flamenco, Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, and more, and has numerous World music genre recordings, including the World Sinfonia trilogy..

If Rap/Hip-Hop is being put in to the Rock Hall, than Jazz and Jazz-ROCK should be as well.
There's no argument, if not, it's pretty much a massive Double Standard.

RTF should be in the Rock Hall, period.

Chick Corea..
Just found out with Roy's post.

Roy,
Basically this is the page for Chick Corea. He started and formed this band, and he orchestrated most all of the music, assembling the great, immense talents of Stanley Clarke, Al Di Meola, Lenny White, Jean Luc-Ponty and others into a fantastic chemistry of Jazz Rock Fusion. Besides being a member of Miles Davis' band, Chick's own solo projects, and later the Chick Corea Band, Return To Forever will always be his crowning achievement. Outstanding albums like Hymn Of the Seventh Galaxy, No Mystery, Where Have I Known You Before, and the epic Romantic Warrior have helped to set the bar very high in the world of Jazz Fusion. So I would say any comments relating to Chick Corea, and his passing, R.I.P., for this trailblazing, unsung, masterful artist, should very well be posted on this Return To Forever page..

Return to Forever gives us some interesting and easy listening jazz fusion while still has theie edges
