Okay, I don’t think he should be inducted as a performer, mainly because his music on its own doesn’t really stack up or hold any sort of recognition in the states currently, but maybe he’ll get the musical excellence award or even early influence one of these days? Just a thought

In order to qualify as early influence, an artist needs to be pre- rock and roll or before 1955.

This is just me but musical excellence should be saved for artist that did a little here and a little there and another bit there. Each of these bits on their own may not be enough but when put all together it comes out to enough to be recognized for, Jim Peterick is a perfect example. He has been in 2 bands, written songs for other artist, produced records and organized concerts. Add to that he wrote and performed a rock classic,Vehicle.

You need to ask yourself if this artist can not get votes does he really deserve to be inducted?get

Yes: during the 60s & 70s, artists bands like The Yardbirds, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Doors & John Coltrane were heavily influenced by Indian music with Ravi being one of the main Indian artists they credited. Norwegian Wood by The Beatles is a raga rock song influenced by Ravi's sitar playing.

The fact he was big influenced on some major rock bands and a jazz legend easily makes him one of the RHOF biggest snubs.
