he is far aqnd away deserving of being inducted. His music was played by 60 artists. That in addition to creating and performing songs gives him all the criteria he needs to be in. Posted by adele hetzel on Friday, 06/29/2018 @ 18:15pm |

It is ridiculous that a true contributor to early rock and roll such as Neil Sedaka and Paul Anka are omitted from the so-called Hall of Fame while Posted by Jack Craig on Thursday, 06/18/2020 @ 23:20pm |
The fact that Neil Sedaka is not already in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is one of the worst injustices any organization could inflict on any potential candidate eligible to be inducted. It's akin to not having Hank Aaron, Babe Ruth or Mickey Mantle into the Baseball H.O.F. Like not having Michael Jordon or Jerry West (NBA Logo) in the NBA H.O.F. Like not having Jim Brown or Joe Montana in the Pro Football H.O.F. to name just a few. Can you imagine the outrage if these athletes would have been snubbed. It is no different with Neil Sedaka. There must be someone in authority at the Rock and Roll H.O.F. that has the wisdom to see this. Posted by william cochran on Friday, 02/19/2021 @ 14:10pm |
Bubble Gum or not, he should have already been in. Started in high school in Brooklyn NY where many R&Rollers were born and raised. The original Tokens were formed in 1954-55 and featured a female singer. They were the Skyliners before the Skyliners. The man is still alive. Get him in so he can enjoy it before he dies. Posted by Jeff Gabel on Sunday, 06/6/2021 @ 19:03pm |
Neil Sedaka is a rock and roll legend singing since I was 11 years old in 1959 and still entertaining . He is a no brainer for entry into the Rock and Roll HOF…ha entertained his legions of fans during the Pandemic and should be able to celebrate his inclusion. I think it is a crime that Neil Sedaka is not in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Many of his songs were hits not only for himself but for other singers as well. His knowledge of music is unmatched by any inductee to date. A graduate of the prestiage Juilliard School he knows , understands and demonstrates that knowledge with every song he writes and sings. Ever changing to conform to the styles of the present but never forgetting what perpelled him from the past.He belongs in The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for if it wasn't for him many of the best hits would not exist. That he is not in is an insult to R and R, to him, and to the millions who enjoyed, recorded {Captain and Tennille] and bought his music through multiple decades. The RnR alleged Hall of Fame is the HALL OF SHAME until he is inducted Posted by Larry on Sunday, 11/20/2022 @ 08:47am |
Outrageous that he is not in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. He was an early pioneer of Rock and Roll . Posted by Nancy on Saturday, 11/26/2022 @ 10:28am |

I really can't believe Neil Sedaka, Paul Anka, and Dion & The Belmonts are not inducted into The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. It's akin to leaving Elvis and Chuck Berry out. Outrageous!!!! Posted by rich naso on Saturday, 12/31/2022 @ 12:29pm |
I literally grew up listening to Neal Sedaka, he may have been my first concert as an elementary age kid on the Las Vegas strip. His imprint on Rock & Roll is nothing short of legendary. He deserves it on his solo work but for decades you couldn't go 30 minutes without hearing something he had a part in creating. He is a true legend and gentleman. Yes, it would be wonderful for him to be inducted while he can still participate in person. Neil Sedaka's management is needed to help build a real campaign, it will take a year or two of hard work, but it will be worth it. Posted by Rich Hiles on Monday, 01/16/2023 @ 13:16pm |
I simply cannot understand how Neil Sedaka hasn't been inducted into The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame!! Such a great talent and songwriter of so many wonderful songs. Neil will be 84 very soon. Only the music Stupid Cupid, great Rock and Roll, should be capable to introduce any singer/composer in the Rock and Roll hall of fame. Posted by Joe Bruen on Friday, 02/3/2023 @ 16:17pm |
if they can induct those hip hop groups and country crap like Dolly Parton, why not a legendary performer and massive hit maker from the early days . Posted by wilson godwin on Wednesday, 03/15/2023 @ 09:18am |
I hope this is not based on politics of the day…. MR SEDAKA. MR CHECKER NEED TO BE IN. NO EXCUSES!!! Posted by David on Sunday, 02/18/2024 @ 03:25am |
Maybe the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame should induct the way Major League Baseball does their elections - Let the music publications have a vote!! Let Fans decide and not just a bunch of insiders make the choice. It's not much of a Hall of Fame without the most famous people in the industry not included! Look how many artists would not have succeeded without Neil Sedaka writing the songs that made their careers! Posted by Bob Hill on Sunday, 07/28/2024 @ 13:34pm |
Neil Sedaka certainly needs to be a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. It's inconceivable that Sedaka's talent is not recognized. Please (do the right thing). Posted by Dave Johnson on Saturday, 08/3/2024 @ 04:13am |

There shouldn't even be a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame if someone as good as Neil Sedaka isn't in it. That's an insult not only to him, but to the millions of his fans. It's almost feels like artists have to pay fora spot like they do for the Hollywood Walk of Fame Stars. Posted by Dr. Michael MacChesney on Sunday, 08/25/2024 @ 21:54pm |
It is simply a travesty that Sedaka is not in. I can't think of any other artist from the first decade of Rock N Roll that isn't in that deserves it as much as he does. Ricky Nelson, a Sedaka contemporary, was inducted in 1987 and he rarely wrote any of his own songs like Sedaka did. The Hall qualifications don't require artists to be great songwriters, but you would think that would make an artist a better candidate, apparently not with Sedaka. Watch, the Hall will feel guilty about it after he passed and then put him in like they did with Jimmy Buffet last year. Posted by Bryan Kelly on Saturday, 01/18/2025 @ 05:48am |
How do we move this forward and make Neil Sedaka a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame? This is another decade talking about it and no action. Let's not have another great historic musician be inducted posthumously. Posted by Janet Belluardo on Friday, 02/14/2025 @ 17:11pm |
