Ah the voice for Black Box and one of the big influences on house music... I'd say Yes based on her influence in the electronic genre.

I liken Martha Wash to Johnny Maestro: both were big names in their respective styles... but they spread that cache out over a few different places. No one single vehicle for either one is worthy of induction on its own (although I probably would vote yes on the Crests); however, I would really like see both of these figures inducted in some capacity, like Lifetime Achievement, or prove that the Award For Musical Excellence isn't merely a renaming of "Sideman".

Absolutly YES! No one lasts 30+ years in the music industry without talent. You don't know that Martha Wash is without dispute one of the Legends! She has never been limited to a passing faze and has the Billboard Hits to prove this. Want to pack a dance floor play Martha Wash! Want a Hit ask Martha Wash to sing! She is current thru 3 decades; Surely the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame would GET UP AND DANCE!

Martha Wash has been the voice of several generations. She caught my attention in 1977 with Sylvester. She has been the voice on the biggest hits of the 70's, 80's, and 90's. She never got the credit she deserves, as far as I'm concerned. You can't go to a dance club without hearing her outstanding voice! She has paved the way for female vocalist and definitely should be inducted to the rock n roll hall of fame. I'm surprised she hasn't been already.

Martha wash has changed the business of music not just for ladies but everyone! She is an immeasurable vocal talent and profound business woman! No one doesn't know Martha wash's powerful soul filled gorgeous voice. Miss Martha I hope makes it into the hall of fame and has incredible vocalists come to show her just how much not only them but the world was and has been learning, listening enjoying, and respectfully watching her all these years!
