They could easily make it into the Hall of Fame. On this date, they have about 12 hits (Harder to Breathe, This Love, She will be Loved, Sunday Morning, Wake up Call, Makes Me Wonder, Moves Like Jagger, Misery, Payphone, One More Night, Daylight, and Love Somebody) plus that one Kara's Flowers song. I think that they are well off. If they get more hits, I think that they will be all set. Posted by Josh Rogers on Friday, 02/21/2014 @ 20:47pm |

Another band from '02 that I love to hate on. Calling them a rock band doesn't do me good; instead to me they are a boy band. They've got a lot of hits, and the soccer-moms love 'em. I'm sure most guys do too. Posted by Jason Voigt on Thursday, 01/7/2016 @ 21:41pm |
For those saying Maroon 5 might not be rock enough, if Tupac and Run DMC can make it in, they'll be in there. Posted by Garrett Scroggs on Friday, 07/28/2017 @ 21:23pm |

Yeah, that argument is so persuasive and totally logical... #putdownthecrackalready Posted by EDS on Saturday, 07/29/2017 @ 11:08am |

After this most recent Super Bowl halftime show...no way Posted by Tyler Partnow on Sunday, 02/3/2019 @ 21:49pm |
I’m glad I rarely watch sports; I’ve been hearing about how abysmal AF Maroon 5’s recent performance was, which I’m not surprised cause everytime when acts perform at a Super Bowl game during the Halftime Show, they get screw by the NFL these days. Metallica and Foo Fighters had the right idea by staying away from the league that is now a joke ruined by Roger Goodell and his crony fat cat friends. Sure was a mopey/ballady set of songs for a 'high energy' SB halftime show. Posted by Paul in KY on Monday, 02/4/2019 @ 12:47pm |

Likely getting in. They had cultural cross-over with the voice and rap. They got enough sales and were one of the last video rockish acts that broke thru on VH1 and MTV. That said, the public soured on them big time after that bad Super Bowl performance. Since then, they have made really terrible records, but they still sell. When you have to acts go into the HOF every year, bands like this will get in. Posted by Jim C. on Sunday, 07/20/2025 @ 00:51am |
Maroon 5 getting in will crush any legitimacy of the hall. They were good in the 2000s, but not outstanding or particularly notable. Now they make boring slop that the radio gravitates towards despite it not being all that popular just to pretend to be a tastemaker in the era of streaming.
