6 comments so far (post your own)Currently at Bunbury Festival. This band headlined Sat nite. Pretty freaky video background all during set. Big, enthusiastic crowd, although not as large as for fun. on Fri nite. Posted by Paul in KY on Sunday, 07/14/2013 @ 09:47am |
Thet did NOT play 'Kids'!!! Their only hit (so far as I count) & they did not play it. Am pissed off & will mention it to staff. Posted by Cheesecrop on Sunday, 07/14/2013 @ 11:52am |
Cheesecrop, understand that unless it was written into contact before show that 'staff' has no control over whether or not a certain song is played by band. Posted by Paul in KY on Tuesday, 07/16/2013 @ 10:19am |
After Little Dark Age, it seems possible... Posted by Michael on Tuesday, 10/30/2018 @ 23:25pm |
At this point it's more than likely. Oracular Spectacular and Congratulations are quickly showing up as incredibly influential albums, and only time will tell the impact of their self titled. Despite Congratulations being panned upon release, this album has aged like fine wine and now the general consensus is that the album is not only probably their best, but also the the peak of their creative prowess. LDA seems like the nail in the coffin for their ballot, as well as the fact that their musical careers are far from over. Posted by Bobby Alvarez on Wednesday, 01/15/2020 @ 10:25am |
Seeing the dude upset at them not playing Kids makes me laugh. The only big hit, lol wut? Time to Pretend? Electric Feel? Little Dark Age (tbf wasn't out yet when he posted that)? When You Die? A band like this is way more than their hits, too. Siberian Breaks & Alien Days are modern-day psych masterpieces as far as I'm concerned. Time only does them justice from what I've seen as well, both Congratulations & self-titled become more relevant each passing year. Loss of Life already sounds very promising, these two will be sorely missed whenever they decide to hang it up. I think a couple decades from now critics will see they have an incredibly strong case for inclusion. Not a terribly large amount of current rock/pop bands left such an immediate impact as they did from record #1. Posted by Brett on Saturday, 12/23/2023 @ 00:11am |
