4 comments so far (post your own)I think a split of 1900-1975 and 1976-2014 is good. In regards to eligibility, everyone's brought up a lot of good points on both sides, but ultimately I think that since I had originally described it as only being solo acts, all female acts, and 50% female, that it should stay as such, especially since that's what people had voted for. My initial concern was over people nominating bands like Smashing Pumpkins, Pixies, or New Order (all three of whom are favorites of mine) just because they had a female member. Saw these guys n gal at Bonnaroo. Played the Which Stage & I was right down front for them. Was not familiar with any of their music. Fine, uptempo show. Lead singer mostly plays keys. Feel I need to see them again to really get a feeling for them. Posted by Paul in KY on Thursday, 06/16/2016 @ 07:33am |
This was the only band/act that I regretfully missed out on Bonnaroo. Unfortunately, my feet couldn't take it that night (had several blisters) but enough about me. M83 played right between J. Cole and Pearl Jam that Saturday night. "Midnight City" has been one of my favorite songs that has came out within the last five years. It would have been cool to see that live. But I know they'll be back around sometime in the future. Glad you got to see 'em Paul! Posted by Jason Voigt on Thursday, 06/16/2016 @ 19:21pm |
