Why not

Born to Die is one of only three albums by a female to be on the Billboard 200 for over 300 weeks. If that doesn't say something about her legacy I don't know what does.

She may not be everyone's cup of tea but her career definitely speaks for itself compared to a lot of the other mainstream female acts to come out in the 2010s.

Really, after she tried saying that Radiohead wants %100 of the money from Get Free even though they NEVER said that?

She’s a shoe in.

Oy, definitely.

If Lana isn't inducted within 5-10 years of her eligibility, I'll lose my faith in the Hall.

By "Summertimes sadness" alone, she is HOF worth, since this song was covered by numerous acts. By her fluid music genre alone, she is head above other music artists, persona, fame and critical acclaim is good enough for me. By her influence to indie/alternative music is strong point for induction. Lets see what her impact be like after 10 years, because so far it looks good...

Lana Del Rey's influence on alternative pop culture just makes her a shoe in. She's remained an underdog her entire career, yet she has her finger on on the pulse of culture, even if you don't see it. Lana changed the game. She's manufactured melancholy and Southern California. Her catalog is a rich internal world full of beauty. I'm only a 16 year boy but her art has allowed me to see the world and the course of life in a much more rich and meaningful way. Just because here are some must listen to songs by her:
"The greatest"
"Black Beauty"
"The Blackest Day"
"Brooklyn Baby"
"Off To The Races"
"Living Legend"
"Get Free"
"Yosemite"
"Venice B*tch"
"Ultraviolence"
"Salvatore"
"Heroin"
"Shades Of Cool"
It'd be such a shame if I didn't ever find her. She is very deserving.

I just came here after reading interviews from Billie Elish and Olivia Rodrigo on how Lana Del Rey have influenced these new artists. Makes me think Del Rey is a shoe in for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in the future. I never realized how influential she was in the 2010s.

Saw Lana Del Rey at Hangout Music Fest last Friday evening. She was 30 minutes late to her set. Ended up her and her big backing band/dancers arriving in golf cart style vehicles and driving along one side of audience (on ocean side) and then back to front left side of stage where they disembarked and she embraced fans, etc. while making a slow walk to stage.

Had a 2 story stage set where she would either sing on lower level or go up to 'balcony' and sing from there. I actually thought she was 'Gothy' before I had seen her. She is definitely not that. Looked like a Ms. America contestant. A very attractive woman.

As for her music, just not my cup of tea. Thought (for a closing set on a Friday at a major music fest) that her songs (that I heard) where a bit downbeat or 'mopey' as I like to say.

I heard 8 songs and then left (with hundreds and hundreds of others). Will probably never see her again.

She is a lock for induction, but who knows when. She is a highly influential artist and I dare say probably the most influential female artist of the 2010s.
