No way! They suck! Posted by Anon Ymous on Friday, 04/19/2019 @ 08:06am |
Kriss Kross influences the fashion of teens across America in the early 90s. If you need prof look at any of the the Mickey Mouse club shows during the 90s. If being the youngest duo platinum recorded artists isn't enough, that should cover it. Posted by XmanBishop on Monday, 07/5/2021 @ 21:50pm |
Kris Kross absolutely should be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, they actually opened the doors for many acts and inspired a generation of artists, just look at the tributes when Chris Kelly passed away all the artists in the music industry that were inspired by Kris Kross. This one made me chuckle. I think we all know who they were. They were relevant for 15 minutes back in the early 90's. Memorable, but certainly not HOF worthy Posted by Grey on Saturday, 07/8/2023 @ 09:33am |
Kris Kross's combination of cultural influence, commercial success, and trailblazing youth representation makes them a strong candidate for induction. Their success broke barriers, amplified Atlanta's role in hip-hop history, and helped make rap a dominant global force. Posted by Anonymous on Sunday, 11/9/2025 @ 06:33am |
People love to downplay Kris Kross because they were young, but name another rap group that reached their level of success at that age. They topped charts worldwide, sold millions of records, and influenced a generation — all before most kids their age had even finished middle school. You can't fault them for being successful early. If you're hating because they were kids, ask yourself: what were you doing at their age? Were you making hit records and shaping pop culture? Posted by Anonymous on Sunday, 11/9/2025 @ 06:38am |

Plenty of legendary artists have one defining hit — that's what makes it legendary. Kris Kross had other hits too, and by today's standards, no one's selling records like they did. Every album they dropped was a success and outperformed most of today's artists on the charts. Look at Cyndi Lauper with "Girls Just Want to Have Fun" — one iconic song can shape pop culture forever. Kris Kross did that with "Jump," and they did it as kids who topped charts and inspired a generation. I agree. You can't fault them for being successful early. You're just hating.
