Once again, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has skipped over my father, the late R&B singer Johnnie Taylor who has been eligible since 1996. As each year passes, I get madder and madder at the artist who are put in over him.
I mean not only was my father a great singer but he had to deal with a very racist society in fine tuning his craft.
I talked to former president of the hall of fame, Terry Stewart about two years ago. He told me about the process and I think it stinks. I think there should be a poll that the public can vote on. No one really knows who picks these artist at all and no one can challenge it
I am going to keep challenge them, until my father is placed where he deserves to be. With Disco Lady, my father had the FIRST PLATINUM single.
Will I have passed away by the time you guys put my father in the hall of fame? I will be 53 on November 23 of this year. It's looking more and more that way. It's a shame he's been passed over so many times.

The man had many great achievements and quite a career. Unfortunately though, he's got so much competition and on top of that there hasn't been much people in his genre inducted in the last decade. Don't worry, less and less people are taking the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame seriously.

Johnnie Taylor should be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Hopefully, he is nominated in the future for induction. He was recently inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame this year.

It has now been 30 years and my father still hasn't been even nominated for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. He deserves to be there with his friends, Otis Redding and Sam Cooke. He made MUSIC and BLACK HISTORY by being the first artist to have a platinum record certified by the RIAA, along with his body of work.

Now on a personal note, Janet Boggs, has been bothering me, my brother TJ, my son, and anyone else she can find who we have contact with. Janet Boggs, we believe is my father's ex-wife that he DIVORCED 10 days before he died. She has been bothering us for over 20 years and seems to have no life. She goes on anything that we post and says the same old stuff like Charlie Brown's teacher. She is a coward because, on her Facebook page, she doesn't have a real profile, but a picture of a flower. If she knows so much, why won't she show her face and who she is? Again, she is a COWARD with no life. It is sad, that someone waste so much time being hateful instead of living their life like we are.

I have forgiven my father who dealt with substance abuse and the times he grew up in but you don't forget. At the end of the day, we can't help how we come here. No matter how much this person vents and acts stupid, she. Gerlean Rockett Taylor, can't take away ME, and TJ are his children. There are nine of us on paper but others out there with the same blood flowing through us.

I have moved on from this and Gerlean/Janet you should too. Seek help instead of bothering people who aren't thinking about you and your stupidity, help someone, take up a hobby but move on with the rest of your life. You are old, in your 80s, and still can't let things go...that in itself is SAD.

You started bothering TJ again, let it go...P.S. Do you know that what you are doing is a crime, cyber stalking....Eventually, we will find out exactly who you are. Oh, we know who you are. Bye, Gerlean!

I'm just an outsider and fan of Johnnie Taylor. I am also a Man of God. Looking at this thread is troublesome. I don't know what is going on between you and Ms or Mrs Bryant but I urge you two to forgive one another because God admonish us to so that we can be forgiven for our sins and transgressions. We can NOT get into heaven feeling like what I am seeing you write on this thread. It's definitely something that shouldn't be on a public site for the world to see, but I urge you all to fix it. The way we live our lives here on earth determines where we spend eternity. Bitterness (which rott the bones), anger, strife, and such things are gateways for satin to enter our lives. Please let go of the past, Mr Taylor has been deceased almost 25 years. His voice loves on through music. Add value to his legacy by ending division. Ps .. He will get in the Hall of Fame one day.

I hope you are well. You are right; my father will be in the Rock Hall one day. He just got a Brass Music Not on Beale Street in Memphis, TN. Now, as far as Janet Boggs, she has been harassing, stalking, and slandering my name, my mom's, and TJ's for years, back in 2019. The MISTAKE, who we think is Gerlean, is that she is hiding behind a fake profile.

She has harassed my son, my friends, and even TJ's grandson. It is sad that this person, Gerlean, doesn't have a life and is dwelling in the past. Plus, it is none of her business. DNA proves who we are. Our father didn't love himself proving it daily by using drugs and alcohol instead of dealing with his mistakes and doing right by his children.

I have forgiven him because I know something happened to my father through trauma that contributed to his mental health and self-medicating. I have no feelings for my father either way but I will say this, "He takes better care of me in death than he ever did when he was alive." Everything is split equally and there is nothing Gerlean or anyone can do about it.

We can't help how we come here and if I'd had a choice who my father would be, it wouldn't have been someone who didn't care about anyone. He married Gerlean because she got him out of jail when he got arrested in the Bahamas. He was violent and when they divorced, he already had a girlfriend that he was going to marry, named Dorothy who came to court. She and Gerlean almost got into a fight...LOL

This fake profile person needs help ASAP. However, Janet Boggs had made a BIG mistake, she posted slanderous comments on a police page on YouTube. We will soon know who this deranged, and unhinged person is. I don't like to use words like that to descibe someone but in this case, the shoe fits. People have had to turn off their comments to keep Gerlean, Janet from posting.

Forgot one more thing, Gerlean you sure did a great job of raising two criminals too, but I guess the apples don't fall too far from the tree. LaTasha and Jonathan stole thousands and thousands of dollars from ALL the heirs, several years ago from one of the streaming companies. Because of a FORGED death certificate by YOU Gerlean, your children stole over $250,000.00 but thanks to having a copy of the divorce decree and the Document of Heirship out of Dallas, Texas, Latasha and Jonathan. now have to pay back all the money they STOLE from the heirs, they stole. They won't be getting any money from that company for YEARS to come and better be glad, they aren't sitting in jail with you. After all, you were divorced from Johnnie Taylor the day he died. #Fraud
