10 comments so far (post your own)How can a man with the Hits and Pedigree not be in the Hall Of Fame?!?! His voice, his music is Awesome! I listen all the time. The Baby's alone should do it. Solo, and Bad English, should seal the deal!!! Posted by Ken on Wednesday, 10/27/2021 @ 20:32pm |
A voice that just makes you to stop whatever you are doing to listen. Songs that stand the test of time. Definitely people inducted already that are questionable. He would not be one of those. Get with it RRHF. Posted by Mary Beth on Sunday, 07/24/2022 @ 15:54pm |
John Waite is a major image in late 70s through current rock. He is at a disadvantage because several of his very very well known hits were with the Baby's and bad English, and are possibly not consciously connected to all the same person as John Waite solo artist. His voice is iconic, and his tours continue to be popular, even as he is now 71 years old. Mass appeal favorites include Isn't it time, every time I think of you, midnight rendezvous, when I see you smile, missing you, headfirst, back on my feet again, give me your love, etc. etc. he has made a significant impact to the music industry and should absolutely be part of the rock and roll hall of fame. John Waite's music is timeless. His voice, the song lyrics and band members give a live performance that gives 2000% and does not disappoint. John Waite being added to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame would honor a musician who stands out and stands the test of time and gives an A+ performance. It's so wonderful to have such an artist share his musical gift and talents with the world to bring us all closer together through music. Music is our oxygen and John Waite has surely provided a lot of oxygen! As a strong believer in music appreciation I'm looking forward to John Waite "someday soon" being added to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame recognizing his contributions to music and his musical talents that has provided countless hours from the 70s until still today of outstanding music to listen to, enjoy and make our day a little brighter. Thank you, John Waite, for such great music!! Posted by Mona Tomomitsu on Monday, 11/6/2023 @ 07:20am |
John Waite should definitely be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. He's in the trifecta category. His tours are incredible. I saw him 2/24 and his voice was just as smooth as listening to his recordings. He deserves it. Posted by Judy on Sunday, 02/18/2024 @ 17:07pm |
John Waites voice is the best in the music industry. The songs he sings are pure emotion. Bridging the gap between classic rock and new wave so proves his talent. I don't believe there is a song that draws people to the dance floor like Missing You. I know because my band played it for years. Posted by George Cooper on Monday, 04/8/2024 @ 19:30pm |
it's a shame he's not in Posted by bruce minnery on Sunday, 10/13/2024 @ 20:40pm |
Best rock voice ever. Love all his work, The Babys, Bad English, solo. Posted by Angela Nisbett on Thursday, 03/20/2025 @ 18:02pm |
Just saw John at an intimate venue in Boston as part of his tour. He is still killing it. His body of work regardless of solo, Babys or Bad English is outstanding and is absolutely deserving of RRHOF. His solo work, in particular, is so moving. People need to look beyond the commercial success that he has had and hear the album cuts as well. I'm pretty sure the better you are, the more likely they are to snub you. He's a very modest guy and if he believes his work isn't worthy he is so wrong. Although he was there well before, he sang that song you like, back in '83... Get with it RRHOF!! Isn't it time?? Just saw John perform in Rockford, IL and he's still killing it! He continues to have one of the best, if not THE best voice in music! His body of work and longevity of hits over the decades surely warrant recognition by the RRHF. John has proven how incredibly talented he is as a songwriter, singer, and performer, and his contributions to the music industry deserve recognition. Please put him on the ballot soon and you'll see how beloved John is. He's genuine, hard working, humble, and truly appreciative of his fans. We love you, John!
