Jimmy Miller was a highly influential American record producer best known for shaping the sound of rock music in the late 1960s and early 1970s. Though less publicly famous than the artists he worked with, his impact behind the scenes was enormous.

Miller is most closely associated with The Rolling Stones, producing a legendary run of albums including Beggars Banquet, Let It Bleed, Sticky Fingers, and Exile on Main St. During this period, he helped the band move toward a rawer, blues-driven sound that defined their peak years. He was also known to contribute musically—famously playing drums on tracks like "You Can't Always Get What You Want."

Beyond the Stones, Miller worked with major acts such as Traffic, Blind Faith, and Spooky Tooth, helping craft a warm, groove-oriented production style that emphasized feel and performance over polish.

Despite his success, Miller struggled with personal issues later in life, which affected his career. Still, his legacy remains strong: he is widely regarded as one of the key producers who defined the sound of classic rock, especially through his transformative work with the Rolling Stones.
