NO to Europe RRHOF. Not enough musical excellence or volume of greatness. Great you mentioned Jake E Lee and Badlands, Dameon. I am a big fan of Jake E Lee and the Badlands song Dreams In The Dark. Europe's career was like a comet with The Final Countdown. Never liked Europe's music. Preferred Dokken and White Lion. KING Posted by |
I believe that Europe deserves to be inducted because they brought glam into prominence along with Bon Jovi. While many of you may worship critics especially Daemon, The Final Countdown is far from my favorite song from them. It's just a notable rock anthem. My favorite songs from them are Superstitious, Prisoners In Paradise, and Sign Of The Times. Another thing you guys don't realize is this band is from Sweden. They aren't from UK nor US nor any English-speaking country, being able to get this big is quite impressive. The only other band that struck bigger than them not from English-speaking country would be Scorpions, and ABBA was on par with them as well in terms of popularity. They may not be that influential in some people's mind because they are non-english speaking native band. John Norum himself was quite a guitarist, he has played briefly on one Dokken album and has also been offered to become lead guitarist of UFO, but he declined. Maybe they won't get inducted just yet, but sooner or later, yes. Posted by Jason on Friday, 03/12/2021 @ 12:37pm |
Europe should most definitely be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of fame, they were one of the biggest bands in the world during the 80s and are still going today. They have 11 studio albums and their music over the last 15 years is even better than anything they did in the 80s. Also they are still touring throughout the World and have a new album coming at the end of 2024 Posted by Paul Griffin on Sunday, 08/4/2024 @ 09:43am |
