20 comments so far (post your own)My wife and I just saw Eddie in Hampton Beach, NH on 5-29-15, which is the 5th time in four years! He still rocks, sings great, has a great band, and the crowds that come out are always satisfied! How can the 'Money-Man' not be in the RR-HOF? The songs are truly timeless and this with his talents truly sustain the 'test of time' that makes him worthy. Go Eddie! Posted by Mike Nuvallie on Thursday, 06/4/2015 @ 21:58pm |
Two Tickets To Paradise should also be an essential song. Posted by Brian on Wednesday, 10/19/2016 @ 15:27pm |

RIP, Eddie Money (3/21/1949-9/13/2019) Posted by Aaron O'Donnell on Friday, 09/13/2019 @ 11:01am |
On Eddie Money: RIP to the Money Man Eddie Money 70. He has around a dozen big hit songs. I think Take Me Home Tonight 1 of the best 80's songs. Near perfection with Ronnie Spector. It might be too late to nominate Eddie Money this 2019-2020 RRHOF cycle but I believe Eddie Money will get some consideration the next 5 years. He will have some things on his side. His longevity and a New Yorker. Made some memorable songs and appears to be respected by other musicians. Money has a loyal fan base. No doubt they will continue to push for an Eddie Money nomination in next years. A sad day for me and probably several FRL regulars. I remember Eddie Money's songs as a young King. Songs had a good driving beat with some rock guitar. Hopefully, Eddie Money can be Artist Of The Month soon to rediscover some of his material. KING Posted by |
Rest in peace. A great musician, really. Saw him early this year in Pennsylvania. The guy put on a great show. Posted by |
Rest easy, Eddie. You may not be Hall material, but you were one of a few minor highlights of the 80's in music. It's such a tragic he died on one of the worst days to die on; Friday the 13th. Posted by The Dude on Friday, 09/13/2019 @ 11:26am |
RIP Eddie Money, but the Hall just ain't happening for him any time ever (esp. since the same seems to be the case for Warren Devon, sadly), KING... Posted by KXB on Friday, 09/13/2019 @ 13:10pm |
Eddie Money shares a birthday with Supertramp's Roger Hodgson. Hodgson was born March 21, 1950, a year after Eddie Money. Supertramp had a song called "Give A Little Bit" while Eddie Money had a song called "TAKE A Little Bit" (which, BTW, has a keyboard riff similar to Supertramp's "Child Of Vision") Also, Eddie Money died on the 45th anniversary of Supertramp's breakthrough album "Crime of The Century" Posted by Aaron O'Donnell on Friday, 09/13/2019 @ 17:44pm |
One more time: Rest in Peace Eddie Money, 1949-2019. Posted by |
I wouldn't be surprised if Eddie Money's passing gets him nominated--I think there are precedents where a death brings a reconsideration--but his chances of actually making the Hall are iffy at best. Posted by |
good eddie money songs Posted by Jim on Tuesday, 10/15/2019 @ 11:03am |
It doesn't really matter anyway. The hall of fame is a joke. Eddie was never a narcissist like most of the ones in there. He loved his fans, and they loved him. That is all that really matters! Posted by John Miller on Tuesday, 09/22/2020 @ 09:38am |
Eddie definitely belongs in the R RHOF. He has worked steadily in the rock business for the last 40 some years. Hit after hit, always a great show. He dedicated his life to rock and roll and treated his fans like family. It would be a disgrace not to induct Eddie Money into the Rrhof. Thank you from a Edhead. It's baffling that Eddie isn't in at all. He had so many hits, and is still beloved by many! R.I.P. Posted by JDL on Sunday, 08/8/2021 @ 17:59pm |
Soul and rap artists….no Eddie money? A complete joke rock and roll hall of fame or artist hall of fame? Let's get back to our rock and roll stars. Put Eddie and his band in. They deserve it. The go gos before Eddie. Cmon man. Show some class. Thanks put in Eddie. Posted by R.herrington on Saturday, 01/29/2022 @ 12:05pm |
There will never be another...Eddie Money's vocals, songwriting, band arrangements, shows and concerts, all-time 100% excellent performances, media interviews, fan relations and professional relationships...and SO MUCH MORE! Eddie Mahoney has lived, breathed, eaten, dreamed and dedicated to the music all the way. His fans and friends make up an army. He will be heard forever into the future and on the Moon and Mars. Not others. Eddie Money. A timeless classic individual whose material pleasures more every time. Thank you, EM I love you Posted by Shari Overend on Sunday, 10/22/2023 @ 20:56pm |
The hall committee needs to rethink what it means to be a member of the hall and what is rock and roll. No Eddie Money, Billy Idol, or STYX, but you let in White Stripe. PLEASE help me understand Posted by Steve Ballenger on Monday, 04/28/2025 @ 03:57am |
The 70s was stacked with talent. "Two tickets to paradise" only went to #22 and Eddie Money was still making money of that song well into the 2000s. He had plenty of good songs. He annoyed me in later year concerts as he rarely sang a song the whole way through on his own. His reality show was entertaining. His appearance on "King of Queens" was memorable as well.
