Wow! Just saw him a couple of weeks ago at Riotfest. He performed a fine set. Looked a bit old, but he was in his late 50s, so understandable on that.

Gangsta's Paradise seems to be the most streamed 90s rap song on Spotify. Although he seems a distant possibility, you can't totally discount him his chances.
