Conway Twitty is a country singer. It is the Rock N Roll Hall Of Fame Rap singers don't belong either. If the name is changed to the Music Hall Of Fame then okay but as long as it is the Rock N' Roll Hall Of Fame only Rock and Roll bands should be there.

The Hall, from the very beginning, has been less about honoring the narrow definition of Rock as guitar-driven pop songs sung by white men and more about honoring a shared lineage of music that can trace its stylistic roots back to the original rock and roll/blues artists of the 40s and 50s. That includes rock, it includes pop, it includes metal, it includes R&B, it includes country to some extent, and yes, it includes hip hop, not to mention the many sub genres that blur the lines between them. Genre is fluid and changes with the culture.

They're jealous of Conway in both Rock n roll and country elites. He was never voted entertainer of the year with ALL his successes.

Dolly Partin is in the rock n roll hall of fame, but Conway is not??? Conway had as much to with Rock n roll as many and more than others in it.

I don't think the person whom said Conway basically ain't rock as he is as much as Jerry Lee Lewis and Elvis and Ricky Nelson what it is is that he was so successful in country music that others whom don't have their facts straight don't know what the truth is and that is partially the problem and the fact that even his fans and family aren't trying hard enough as Elvis fans and other fans to get it done that is why I am writing this Conway twitty is in the rockabilly hall of fame but it still isn't enough after all he started there but truth is his real success started in 1958 and that was in rock and roll years as rockabilly was over by then in general and his fortunes came in rock and roll and he was a heart throb and on American bandstand and anyone whom thinks he don't deserve recognition is lying only to themselves I hope truth will win out and this rocker deserves this much more then dolly parton I mean if vanilla ice went country would we say ice ice baby wasn't rap and that vanilla ice don't deserve to be in a rap hall of fame I mean let's look at the facts

Conway Twitty became a R&R superstar in 1958 with "It's Only Make Believe". Number 1 all summer in LA and Billboard. Today this hit is played hundreds of times daily. And, He had several more top R&R hits into 1962, It was rumored that Col . Parker thought he was a threat to Elvis and he had to go. Conway continued to perform but leaned on Country where he had 40 number one hits. If this isn' t RRHOF material then a lot of inductees need to be removed. Conway was a fantastic performer and helped to establish real R&R.Please let's get him inducted. Thank you.

When do we recognize Neil Sedaka for his founding hits in the early R&R years 1958 to 1964 and again in the mid 70's, as a singer with many Top 10 hits and many mhits songs he wrote for other artists. And he still performs. Before he is gone let's see him inducted and let him feel our love for his achievements.

Conway Twitty Was Absolutely a Rock And Roll Singer In His Rock and Roll years All His Rock songs were only on billboard pop charts and although a few crossed over to the r and b charts in those years not one song ever crossed over to billboard country music charts or charted on billboard country music charts and Elvis Presley started on the billboard country music charts in 1955 with I forgot to remember to forget and it didn't hit the billboard pop charts at all and Elvis continued to chart on the billboard country music charts all through his career this is a fact and it makes Elvis Presley a country and western singer that had Cross over hits to pop charts from the country charts with this fact in mind that makes Conway Twitty a true Rock and roll singer more so then Elvis Presley a country singer and there should be no doubt or questions about it cause Conway Twitty was for sure a 100 percent rock and roll singer and definitely deserves to be in The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame

I see Chubby Checker is selected for the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame this year. Again Conway Twitty is not selected although I have tried and a lot don't know bit google Conway Twitty doing The Twist. There you will see a picture of Conway Twitty and Chubby Checker and Dick Clark doing The Twist!!!! You know Dick Clark and Conway Twitty were friends I know Dick Clark would definitely say Conway Twitty deserves to be in The Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame!!!! If This message gets to the board members who actually decide whom will be put in The Rock And Roll Hall of Fame I ask them to please put Conway Twitty in!!! There are some they put in that didn't even show up and wrote terrible messages to The Rock And Roll Hall of Fame for even inducting them . I might not be the most smartest person but why would they still take them if they didn't not only appreciate it but they said such nasty things!!!! Conway Twitty would have been so honored by this and this singer has been dead fir so long but the fact that there is interest in this proves that Conway Twitty Rock and Roll is alive and well so to them at The Rock And Roll Hall of Fame I ask that they put him in and Let Conway Twitty be home

Conway Twitty Started in Rock at sun in 1956 with Rock house and then in 1957 he would be at Mercury and put out Shake It Up! MGM was his next record label starting with It's Only Make Believe And Last But Not Least He Went To ABC-Paramount in 1963. 1964 he put out his last Rock and Roll 45 My Baby Left Me and Such A Night . He is a true Rock and Roll Singer in His rock and roll years his fans were known to have sock hops wearing morpul white bobby socks and having slumber parties wearing Dr.Denton's Footie PJs. There is something special about Conway Twitty Rock and Roll and it still very much part of our culture. I say It's Time to see The Dr. Denton Morpul Of Rock and Roll Gets inducted In The Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame That's The Conway Twitty Rock and Roll Story!!!!!!!!
