7 comments so far (post your own)I highly, highly, highly, highly doubt that anybody in their right mind would see Charli XCX - a cheap stripper looking twat, would be eligible in the Hall of Fame. Posted by punkerbritt on Tuesday, 04/21/2015 @ 01:53am |

Charli XCX has grown to become a talented experimental pop artist! I really like her new work... Posted by Doug on Monday, 07/23/2018 @ 22:52pm |
Charli XCX isn't just some cheap pop singer anymore. She is a very innovative, and talented singer. Pop 2 is probably the best (possibly the only good) pop to come out of the 2010s. She should get in, someday Posted by Tanner on Tuesday, 05/18/2021 @ 18:35pm |
She's SO getting in the first year she's eligible. With everything she's done for the hyper pop genre and the music industry as a whole, she's gonna make it. Posted by Bella Kay on Sunday, 09/8/2024 @ 01:25am |
Saw her live during the Crash album tour! Seeing her soon for the Brat tour too! Great performer! She's been reinventing herself along her career path each album and highly influential with the next generation of pop music with every album after Sucker (not saying Sucker isn't good but it's just impressive that's she's a true artist who creates artistic pop music and am glad she stuck to her guns and finally regained mainstream appeal for the first time since the early 2010s). I really became a fan of her in 2017 with Number 1 Angel, and was surprised and delighted on the trajectory of her music. She's honestly my personal favorite pop star of the past 10 years (idk how much of a hot take that is) but I hope she makes it in! She's more willing to experiment than most pop stars and the fact that she's proven she's a unique individual in her space and propping up other artists… I have my opinion on her (obviously I like her and her music) but I'm interested to see how the rest of her career plays out now that she's truly back in the spotlight of mainstream success and charting songs! I'd say sometimes it's hard for artists to get in early in their eligibility when their experimental/ahead of their time with a lack of chart topping hits as a pop artist. I've been on this sight since I was a Sophomore in high school circa 2011/2012 under a different handle and most artists that I feel are similar to Charli XCX in terms of how she is as an artist have historically had to wait a bit look at Kate Bush (who had to wait a little longer) who was ahead of her time, experimental, and also from the UK with limited success on that charts of pop in comparison to the likes of Madonna who got in right away. The politics of the rock hall and the trajectory of Charli's career can also go in different directions by the time she's eligible! As a fan I'd love to see her get in but I personally think due to rock hall politics and notoriety she was likely to the Kate Bush route of having to wait despite deserving of a spot!
