Bonnie made her chops singing since she was 17 in 1969 buy initially working the clubs until she had a pro contract in 1973. Her commercial success went nowhere until 1976, when she had a big hit in Europe with LOST IN FRANCE, keeping her in the top 10 in Europe for 6 months. But it was not until 1978 when IT'S A HEARTACHE became a worldwide phenomenon (more recently covered by fellow inductee Rod Stewart), and one of Bonnie's best song, bringing together rock and country influences. Then, TEOTH became an even more massive hit, and of course, HOFAH, much loved by fans. Big hits that people do not know she sang first include THE BEST (covered by Tina Turner a couple of years later), MOM (recently covered by Garth Brooks). She's done country, blues, rock, pop and collaborated with anyone from Vince Gill to Meat Loaf and Frankie Miller. Definitely a valid choice!

Bonnie Tyler only had two hits. Her hits were "It's A Heartache" and "Total Eclipse Of The Heart."

Bonnie Tyler did the original version of The Best on her 1988 album, Hide Your Heart. It was written by Holly Knight and Mike Chapman, and intended for Paul Young to sing, but he turned it down.

Holding Out for A Hero has been a classic song. It originally was in Footloose and a cover in the 2011 remake. It was in Shrek 2, being covered by the Fairy Godmother and I feel like one of the 3 most iconic songs in the franchise after All Star and I'm a Believer. It was in the marvel projects Loki and Lego Marvel Avengers Mission Demolition and was in the trailer for the Guardians of the Galaxy video game. It was in the last episode of Henry Danger, being covered by Captain Man. She did the song first and if her version didn't release, later uses might not have existed. The other iconic song of hers I could think of is Total Eclipse of the Heart. I feel like inducting Bonnie Tyler could help show the gender diversity in music and the main female artists I listen to are her, Joan Jett, and Dolly Parton
