Atlantic Starr is one of the best bands of the 1980s. First with Sharon Bryant's soulful leads and backgrounds, then with Barbara Weathers' pop/ ballad renditions, Atlantic Starr became a major factor in their era. They well deserve R&R Hall of Fame consideration especially when very lame acts with much less talent have been granted entry. But, what else is new? Many other quality acts that should have been admitted decades ago have been continuously snubbed. WTF? Posted by Von Ryan on Tuesday, 08/25/2020 @ 10:28am |

I think I have heard of Atlantic Starr. They sang a song called "Always" and I think it was on a VH-1 show that featured 100 Greatest Love Songs. Posted by Brian Schonour on Monday, 08/8/2022 @ 21:23pm |
For this group "Atlantic Starr" not to be in the Music Hall of Fame is unbelievable. They had so many hits and produced great music. I feel that the criteria to be inducted definitely needs to be revised. Obviously the committee that makes these decisions should be replaced.
