Vixen were one-hit wonders and their one hit was "Edge Of A Broken Heart." I learned that on a VH-1 list of 100 songs that were from one-hit wonders. Posted by Brian Schonour on Thursday, 10/7/2021 @ 20:50pm |
It's a shame Vixen has not been inducted into the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame. I would disagree with a one hit wonder because they have some powerful songs if you listen to their music. Posted by Danny on Tuesday, 03/15/2022 @ 11:52am |
Vixen is without a doubt the best heavy metal female rock band ever. No one came before of after. While everyone knows Edge of a Broken Heart, their other songs, Cryin and a multitude of songs that didn't get airplay because they were all female in a males world, which is too bad. These ladies were incredible. Would have gone further if management didn't think of them as a novelty instead of actual artists, which they were/are. I've seen lesser acts get into RRHF without Vixen's fanfare. Go back and look at some of their videos and watch them and see how these ladies tore up the stage. My favorite band is Guns and Roses, AC/DC, Yes, Tom Petty& Heartbreakers, then Vixen, Heart, Led Zepplin. All except Vixen are in the RRHF. I think Jan on lead guitar is better then 95% of the men playing in metal bands back in the day. Janet's pipes also better than 95% of the men. They deserve inclusion. Their videos tell the story.
