although Trixie is not as well known or remembered as someone like Bessie Smith but she has a legacy of her own

Music: she was a big name in blues music, singing beside other legends like James P. Johnson.

Vaudeville: one of more unique roots in rock history, the genre is where she started her career and made a name for self.

bedsides being important early blues singer and her work in vaudeville, she was also black female and i know that sounds meaningless nowadays but back then, that was double whammy on someones career, the fact she took charge and made big name for herself was gutsy.

as boundary breaking blues singer and vaudeville entertainer, she belongs in the pre-rock category
