Hello, I personally think Stephanie Mills does deserve to be in the "Rock & roll hall of fame" why? well sit down and relax and enjoy the story. Stephanie has been in the business since she was only 9 years old she first started out doing Broadway at 9 starring as Pansy in Maggie Flynn running with 80 performances, later on still at age 9 she won 6 nights in a row at the apollo later on becoming the opening act for the "Isley brothers" she then went on to do small roles on kids television shows here and there and would continue to do talent contest-winning each and every one. Fast forward to age 16 where she then broke into the SPOTLIGHT. Stephanie landed her 2nd-biggest major Broadway role which was starring as Dorothy in the HIT Broadway musical "The Wiz" the show won seven Tony Awards including best musical. The majestic theater was packed every day people lined up ready to see the little powerhouse Stephanie belt out the song "Be a lion" & "Home" the show ran for 5 years from 1975-1979 touring all around the world and let's not forget she was only 16 years old when she first landed the role, It's also rumored that Whitney Houston and Stephanie were the last 2 girls standing for the role and Stephanie won over the role with her powerhouse voice, she went on to meet many many legends such as Ella Fitzgerald, Aretha Franklin and even Michael Jackson and many more. Years later after Broadway, she dropped her first album with her first major record label titles "What Cha Gonna Do with My Lovin" which went gold and gave her a top-charting hit titled "What Cha Gonna Do with My Lovin" same as the album. She then went on to drop many more hit albums/singles in her career with 5-7 no.1 hits as well as doing TV appearances and performing for many tv shows and doing duets with other artists. After a long career from the 70s - 80s and early 90s, she went on to slowly stop her career to take care of her special needs son who is her everything "Farad Mills" but still dropped some albums along the way. She has been touring and doing concerts all around the world and not too long ago she dropped her new song called "Let's do the right thing" which she also made a music video, she is on social media aswell interacting with thousands of her supportive fans all across the world. Of course, there is so much more I could say but I couldn't possibly fit it all into here but here is why I KNOW Stephanie Mills deserves to be inducted into the Rock and wood hall of fame. Why isn't she already in there? She should be in any hall of fame that highlights the legacy of music careers. Deserves it is an entire understatement! How could you not include her in it. Pure shame Posted by Jesse on Sunday, 07/16/2023 @ 23:40pm |
