No. Because their chief contributions are not to rock n roll but death metal - an art form outside of rock music. Chaos AD doesnt count; may as well induct one of the hardcore punk bands they ripped off on that album.

Newsflash; death metal is rock, its just that its a subgenre of heavy metal, hich is a hardcore version of rock. Dumbass.

They popularized tribal music in metal in a big way... And tribal music is world music... so why not?!

I'm leaning yes, if only for putting Brazil on the metal map (and possibly giving metal bands outside of Europe and the US a chance to shine), and the aforementioned merging of metal and world music.

Perfect way to show a commitment to
Non-White Acts
Foreign Acts
Extreme Metal Acts

20+ million records sold and Beneath the Remains and Arise are GENIUS records. Landmark, seminal material that should be acknowledged. Their guitar playing but especially the drumming with the tribal flavor has been aped a lot over the past 20 years.
