"Delta Lady" written by Leon Russell and made famous by Joe Cocker on "Mad Dogs & Englishmen" is about Rita Coolidge. Also Rita had a solo spot on the "Mad Dogs" album with "Superstar" a song made famous by the Carpenters and co-written by Leon Russell and Delaney Bramlett.
