LC is a great band, but they haven't done anything spectacular to change the music industry. Also not many people have heard of them, not to say unknown bands are bad, but they haven't innivated or inspired a lot of bands. They just kind of follow a stream of music, that's all.

Depending on how you categorize Evanescence, Lacuna Coil is basically the biggest Gothic Metal band in the world right now. That has to count for something.

From :

"The ones that have enormous popularity, like Evanescence, are an even newer breed. They have probably never heard of us, yet they are influenced by bands like Lacuna Coil, who were influenced!"
- Greg Mackintosh, lead guitarist for Paradise Lost

Please do your research next time you come to offer criticism. It's much more constructive that way.

That made me think about how important it is to be happy - it keeps us healthy. ,

Saw this band last night in Lexington. They played before the Sick Puppies. Just read that they are 'Goth Metal' and after seeing the way the female lead singer dressed (like that crazy evil witch in Harry Potter), I can see where they get that label.

Really enjoyed their set. Wish they had played longer, just 8 or 9 songs done. Interesting things about this band is that they are all from Italy & they have both a male & female lead singer (who play no instruments but their voices). Other 3 members play drums, guitar, bass. All great musicians. If you like Goth, need to see them.

Glad you enjoyed them, Paul. I've never seen them live, but I like their albums. Epica from the Netherlands and Leaves' Eyes from Norway are two other bands in that vein that I really like and recommend.

I've seen them too. They were the first act in one of Megadeth's Gigantour. Volbeat and Motorhead were the other two opening acts. Good show!

DarinRG, appreciate the names of the other 2 bands. Will check them out.

Alot of the crowd was there more for Lacuna Coil than for Sick Puppies.

Security Question:

Which letter is Springsteen's band named after?
