4 comments so far (post your own)James Gang was very special, RALPH, not just another band! They were influential musically and thrilling live. They gave you that feeling like you were part of something important, not just good times. Cultural decadence, Rock of ages. Posted by Freddy on Sunday, 04/9/2017 @ 21:04pm |
They SHOULD be in (along with the other bands mentioned by Ralph, above) because they were a great rock n roll band. So many other genres are inducted it's a shame to see a band this good that actually fits the namesake category of this HOH left out. Posted by Wesley Duke Sapp on Wednesday, 05/6/2020 @ 14:19pm |
Bands like these are literally just as if not more generic than the likes of G-Eazy, Meghan Trainor, Ed Sheeran, The Chainsmokers, and Maroon 5, just to name a few from today. Great songs are far and few even though they may exist but even though they have a mediocre sound doesn't mean they can't be successful or even enjoyable! Are they going to break down walls? Probs not. But they'll put a smile on your face :) Posted by FakePassport LLC, Inc. on Thursday, 05/7/2020 @ 20:02pm |
I have been a fan for years, not a die-hard but always enjoyed their music and Joe's guitar. I'm baffled by HOF's criteria for induction. Cheap Trick gets in (before Moody Blues) and James Gang is left out. What kind of crack are they smoking in Cleveland? Posted by David on Friday, 07/2/2021 @ 19:06pm |
