This is a little coincidental because I just mentioned these guys.

Frijid Pink is one of those sadly forgotten bands that had an incredibly fuzzed-out sound. That first album they did is pretty overlooked in my opinion. It has a couple other proto-metal/proto-punk loud tracks than just thier one-hit, "House of the Rising Sun". "End of the Line", "Crying Shame", and "Tell Me Why" also have that loud gritty sound to them.

I'm not saying they are worthy, but they at least deserve to be known as one of the evolutionly missing links in the foundation of punk and heavy metal.

This "old hippie" used to come to the house of a guy I used to jam with and bring his banged up Strat and when we'd let him play he'd go into these fuzzed-out Jerry Garcia type of solos...ROFL!!! I'd just sit back in the corner and pick one note and bend it every ten minutes or so...fun was had by all!!!!

These guys were a good bar band. I don't think anybody, including themselves, honestly feels they were/are influential. Not terribly original.

Well I really like their fuzzed-out sound. Not RRHOF worthy but pretty underrated nowadays.
